WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW OR BE ABLE TO DO BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE?Students will be required to have level 5 in an Art and Design subject at GCSE.

WHAT WILL I LEARN ON THIS COURSE?The course assumes students that have no previous photography experience. It will begin by introducing students to the basic theory and skill of film photography through a series of practical workshops. Students are expected to provide evidence through sketch books of their developing ideas and work and show how their work fits into a critical and historical context.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?2 mandatory units which are internally marked and externally moderated comprising of coursework, portfolio and controlled assignment.

WHAT COULD I GO ON TO DO AT THE END OF THIS COURSE?Commercial Photography, Foundation Course in Art and Design and all creative pathways.
