A letter to fellow Indians Dear Indians, Time and again, you have shown that how easy it is for you to get offended, how easy it is for your sentiments to get hurt. But, you never try to ponder over the crucial questions that a movie or any art form raises about your society. Earlier this year, Haidar was at the receiving end of such criticism and now PK has fallen into the vicious clutches of yours. Earlier, Haidar was braving a similar onslaught for being anti- Indian & anti-Hindu and now PK is bearing all these boycott remarks. Why don’t you understand that banning a movie or any art form is a suppression of freedom of expression? Why is it that you are always the first one to be offended even if everyone else is accepting it whole-heartedly? Why you always try to run away from the questions that it raises even though these questions need to be answered in today’s society? You had boycotted dramas and skits supporting LGBT rights, you had supported the pulping of a Hinduism book by a renowned IndologistWendy Doniger”, you did have problems with Haidar for being biased towards a particular country or community and not you are looking forward to boycott PK by staging “Dharnas” and running online campaigns. When will be the time ,you will stop repudiating any movie or book that points a finger on your well established structure of society? So, fellow countrymen, it is the high time that we stop being such narrow minded and critics and turn our efforts into good through the power of reasoning and rational thinking each one of us has been bestowed with. A letter to fellow Indians

Dear Indians,

Time and again, you have shown that how easy it is for you to get offended, how easy it is for

your sentiments to get hurt. But, you never try to ponder over the crucial questions that a movie

or any art form raises about your society.

Earlier this year, Haidar was at the receiving end of such criticism and now PK has fallen into

the vicious clutches of yours. Earlier, Haidar was braving a similar onslaught for being anti-

Indian & anti-Hindu and now PK is bearing all these boycott remarks.

Why don’t you understand that banning a movie or any art form is a suppression of freedom of

expression? Why is it that you are always the first one to be offended even if everyone else is

accepting it whole-heartedly? Why you always try to run away from the questions that it raises

even though these questions need to be answered in today’s society?

You had boycotted dramas and skits supporting LGBT rights, you had supported the pulping of a

Hinduism book by a renowned Indologist“Wendy Doniger”, you did have problems with Haidar

for being biased towards a particular country or community and not you are looking forward to

boycott PK by staging “Dharnas” and running online campaigns. When will be the time ,you will

stop repudiating any movie or book that points a finger on your well established structure of

society?

So, fellow countrymen, it is the high time that we stop being such narrow minded and critics and

turn our efforts into good through the power of reasoning and rational thinking each one of us

has been bestowed with.
