Temperature measurement
TEMPERATURE MEASURING DEVICES Group of temperature measuring devices for liquid, gaseous and granular medium for different branches
of industry is presented by measuring transducers, thermotransducers with standardized output current signal, local and panel-mounted digital temperature control devices.
Thermotransducers with standardized output current signal -1
are available in standard and explosion-proof design ( -1- ). Model -1 has local digital temperature indication.
Thermotransducer -1 has access to LAN Modbus. Built-in microcontroller of -
, -1 models has extended essentially transducer’s functionality: user can select type of sensor, conversion and indication range; temperature overrange is displayed at indicator.
Thermotransducers -2, -2 , -2 have measuring transmitter located away from thermoprobe.
Transducers have a wide range of supply voltages, from 9V to 30V,
which is especially important at long lines and when several devices are connected into one current loop. Transducers of signals that are coming from thermocouples provide temperature compensation of loose ends.
Digital thermometer -1 with independent power supply is a good replacement of mercury thermometer. Digital thermometer operates in severe climatic conditions, provides high accuracy in a wide range of temperatures and continuous operation during a year without batteries replacement.
Measuring transducers -1, -2 are designed to convert
signals coming from resistance temperature transducer or thermocouples into standard DC signal providing linear dependence of output current from temperature. -1 is installed directly in thermotransducer mount or connected to the mount with threaded fitting ( -1 ).
-2 is mounted close to thermotransducer at the wall or DIN-rack ( -) and connected by three-wire line or compensation wire. Connection of both
-1 and -2 to the secondary indication device is double-wire. Measuring transducers transmit output signal to the same couple of wires by which they receive power supply.
Panel mounted devices -1102, -1103, are designed to measure and to provide digital indication of signals coming from resistance temperature transducer or thermocouples. These devices display temperature, provide monitoring and alarm of temperature over range, provide position control as well as conversion of measured temperature into standardized output DC signal. All devices are programmable, therefore user can select conversion and indication ranges, alarm actuation logic and type of position control. Devices -1111 are designed to provide measuring and digital indication of
current, voltage, resistance and temperature from resistance temperature transducer and thermocouples, monitoring and alarm of temperature over range, position control as well as conversion of the measured parameter into standardized output DC signal. -1111 can transmit data and to be set through LAN Modbus.

PRESSURE MEASURING TOOLS
This section contains information about process automated monitoring, regulation and control systems excessive pressure or underpressure measuring tools which provide continuous proportional conversion of measuring pressure into standardized output current signal. Tools are equipped with polysilicon, ceramic and tensoresistive membrane sensors allowing to measure vapours, gases, aggressive liquids and pulps pressure.
Pressure transducers -1, -1 measure pressure from minus 60 kPa to 6.0 MPa. Small enclosure with three types of inlet nipples provides simple and comfortable mounting of the tool. Inlet nipple with flat membrane sensor made of stainless steel can be cleaned easily which allows to use such tools with aggressive, high viscosity, crystallizing and heterogeneous polluted medium in chemical, sugar and other industries.
Low head and suction transducers for non-aggressive gases -1 , -1 , -1 operate within the range of ±250 Pa, ±7500 Pa. These tools are used as head gauges, draft gauges, and draft and head gauges for protective automation of gas boilers and burners, as pressure transducers for capacity and vacuum control loops, to provide indication of boiler drums water level. The tools have possibility to correct initial output signal ( /ZERO) and output signal range of variation ( /RANGE).
Pressure transducers -1 , -1 are intended to measure excessive pressure of liquids, steams and gases and to provide digital indication of the modified signal. Output signal of -1 is standardized current signal (4...20) m . -1 has an output to LAN Modbus. Local indication of the current value of measuring pressure is constantly provided at 4-digit Digital LCD Indicator. User can perform transducer control and parameter setting through the Indicator and built-in 3-keys Control Panel.
Electric- to –pneumatic transducers -1, -1 , -4 are intended to measure and convert pressure of air and non-aggressive gases into standardized DC signal.
Digital devices -1105, -1115 with built-in pressure sensor are intended to measure, convert and provide indication of low pressure of non-aggressive gases into output signal (0...5) m or (4...20) m . Devices have two level of signalization, can change output current averaging time and available for wall or panel mounting. -1115 has higher accuracy, adjustable measuring range and can perform data exchange through LAN Modbus.

Hydrostatic pressure measuring tools (level gauges) are designed to measure level (mass, volume) of liquids, display value of measured parameter on digital display, convert the measured parameter into standardized DC signal and overrange signalization.
Measuring tools are used to measure level of liquid (mass, volume), including aggressive, for explosion hazardous processes as well as for tanks and reservoirs with exceeded pressure.
Gauges consist of transmission transducer (TT) and measuring tool (MT).
Gauge models differ by transmission transducer design. All the models have the same measuring tool.
All Models with Ex index are of explosion proof design with explosion protection type «intrinsically-safe circuit» with TT marking «0Exial1CT6X». When mounting TT in explosion hazardous zone, it is connected to MT through I.S. barrier, included into scope of delivery.
Gauges -1.1, -1.2 with index (differential) are used to measure level (mass, volume) into closed tanks with excessive pressure.
Models: -1.1, -1.2 – submersible part - bell with
tube (stainless steel, red copper).
-1.3 — primary transducer threaded into sockolet installed at the tank. Sensor is equipped with isolating membrane.
-1.4 — submersible part – primary transducer with hydrometrical cable. Sensor enclosure made of stainless steel or fluoroplastic -4(for hydrochloric acid). Sensor with isolating stainless steel membrane or ceramic (for hydrochloric acid).
-1.5 — submersible part – pressure sensor with inserted into stainless steel tube electric cable. Sensor with isolating stainless steel membrane.
Measuring tool is programmable. User can: - set measuring liquid density value; - select output current range of variation; - set outlet relay actuation mode to provide operation
in the mode of two-or three-step controller; - set parameters of digital interface; - set conversion of measured pressure into mass or
volume as per own linearization table (up to 30 points) which allows to measure mass or volume in spherical and cylindrical reservoirs.
Transmission transducer is powered by measuring tool with DC voltage of +22 V.

This Unit is intended to input 16 discrete DC voltage or current signals coming from external devices and transmit discrete signals status through digital interface into upper level system. Reading of discrete inputs status is performed through digital interface RS-485, Protocol Modbus (RTU or ASCII). Maximum length of communication line RS-485 is up to 1200 m. It is allowed to connect up to 32 units to the one RS-485 line.
Interface parameters setting (rate of exchange, parity, network address, protocol) is performed through SW with relative command Modbus.
It is possible to start up unit with typical interface parameters settings. With this saved settings are subject to reading and changing.
Usage of RS-485 interface and open protocols allows to use units completed with -12 and in different SCADA-systems as well. To simplify possibility of modules integration into SCADA-systems freeware
-server was developed (supports Modbus RTU).

Discrete output units are intended to output eight independent discrete signals to external devices.
Signals input into -8.1 unit and output signals status setting on switching power on, loss of communication with master device and duration of communication breaking are performed through RS-485 interface (Protocol Modbus RTU or ASCII) from upper level system (e.g. from -12). Maximum number of units at one interface line is 32.
Signals input into -8.2 unit is performed through special interface from devices manufactured by
NPP "Automatica": -1111, -1115, -8 . Maximum number of units which communication interface allows is 8. Actual quantity of units in the line is defined by device to which they are connected. Status of output signals in a case of master device or previous unit communication line loss or (switch off and not to change the status) is subject to user programing and set by crossover under unit panel.
Units are available in DIN-rack installation enclosure (DIN EN 20 022).
