A GLOBAL SOLUTION TO JIHADIST TERRORISM

The accelerating growth of Jihadist Terrorism in the Middle East such as ISIS is causing great concern in Western countries and moderate Islamic countries.  Military solutions attempted by the US and other western nations have clearly failed, as is demonstrated by the failures of governments in Iraq and Afghanistan to provide stability and some semblance of democracy.I believe a global solution to the growth of insurgency and terrorism can be related to the recent advances in the battle against cancer, where tumors can be destroyed by limiting the blood flow the body feeds to these tumors.  If we equate the "blood" flow to money from oil receipts, we have an analogy of a possible global solution to the growth of Jihadist Terrorism.  Furthermore, if, by replacing oil with renewable energy sources such as solar, and/or Hydrogen, (converted from seawater by solar energy), we can reduce the oil money flow to the Jihadists, we can cause them to wither on the vine. A major favorable side effect of this approach is a slowing and ultimately reversing of Climate Change. In order to advance this concept, I have generated a website:

which proposes setting up a solar power station on the moon in ten years, which can provide 10% of the world energy usage with totally clean solar electric energy, beamed to the earth 24/7, using the proven technique of microwave power beaming, which can pass through cloud cover.  The reason I call this approach "free lunch", in that it can be paid for without any increase in US taxes, changes in lifestyles, increases in unemployment, while also eliminating US Budget Deficits and ultimately paying off the National Debt, using receipts from this solar electricity at the current average rate of 12 cents/kilowatt-hour.  This is accomplished by simply diverting the already allocated funds for the US Defense procurement budget, presently used for "make-work" weapon systems unsuitable to the War on Terror, such as the F-35, National Missile Defense, nuclear submarines etc.  These wasted funds would be diverted to this single useful project and cause no layoffs in the Military Industrial Complex, because the funds would be directed to the same companies and workers receiving them now.

All that is required is political courage in Washington!!
