5.1 The latest information on record was placed.

5.2 It was decided to grant approval for 2014-2015 academic session for 60 admissions for the conduct of Ist year D.Pharm course subject to submission of

affiliation fee per annum to the PCI within the stipulated time period.

5.3 It was further decided to instruct the institution -

i) that every year it has to apply to PCI in the SIF for the conduct of early inspection for year-wise approval or rejection of approval on the basis of

which the institution can make further admission/no admission. When the students are in the final year D.Pharm an inspection will be conducted by

PCI for consideration approval of D.Pharm course u/s 12 of the Pharmacy Act for the purpose of registration as pharmacist. It is the responsibility

of the institution to apply in the prescribed SIF to PCI within the prescribed dates every year alongwith complete documents.

ii) to comply with the requirements of Education Regulations, 1991 particularly regarding appointment of teaching staff and equipments.

49.2 On telephonic enquiry from the Pharmacy Practice Staff during EC meeting, it was found that the concerned teacher is not able to give satisfactory

replies relating to the college like name of the Principal, other pharmacy practice staff etc. as well as the hospital attached to it.

49.3 The compliance report submitted by the institution is also not found satisfactory.

49.4 In view of above, it was decided to reject the application for Pharm.D course for 2014-2015 academic session and ask the institution to apply afresh

from next year after complying with the prescribed academic and infrastructural facilities as per the Pharm.D Regulations, 2008.

50.2 It was noted that -

a) the principal is not experienced.

b) the college has only 15 teaching staff for both U.G. & P.G. courses, which is grossly inadequate. Senior faculty with Ph.D. qualification is not

appointed.

c) the workload of the teaching staff is not satisfactory.

d) the equipments are deficient.

e) the average experience of all the teaching staff is less than 2 years.

f) no staff has provided his / her B.Pharm certificate.

g) there in no professor for the various departments.

h) there is no teaching staff in the Pharmacy Practice Department.

i) the attached hospital is having only 100 beds against the prescribed requirement of 300 beds.

j) inadequate space for pharmacy practice department in hospital.

k) the entire college is not provided with even one fire extinguisher.

l) the switch board in all class rooms are broken and the wires are poping out.

m) chemistry lab is not provided with fuming cupboard.

n) the college has admitted 100 students in the last two years in B.Pharm course against the sanctioned strength of 60 students.

50.3 In view of above, it was decided to reject the application for Pharm.D course for 2014-2015 academic session and ask the institution to apply afresh

from next year after complying with the prescribed academic and infrastructural facilities as per the Pharm.D Regulations, 2008.

i) that every year it has to apply to PCI in the SIF for the conduct of early inspection for year-wise approval for conduct of course or otherwise on the

basis of which the institution can make further admission/no admission. When the students are in the final year Pharm.D/Pharm.D (Post

Baccalaureate), an inspection will be conducted by PCI for consideration of approval u/s 12 of the Pharmacy Act for the purpose of registration as

pharmacist. It is the responsibility of the institution to apply in the prescribed SIF to PCI before due date.

ii) to comply with the requirements of Pharm.D. Regulations, 2008 particularly regarding appointment of teaching staff, equipments and Hospital

facility.

69.4 Further the PCI recommends that Pharmacy Practice Faculty including HOD shall undergo at least 1 Continuing Education Programme / Training

Programme of minimum 3 days duration every year and participation in atleast one seminar/conference every year.

69.5 In view of above, please intimate per return of mail the number of such Continuing Education Programmes / Training Programmes / Seminar /

Conference etc. attended by HOD and pharmacy practice faculty during the last one year with documentary evidence i.e. participation certificate etc.

69.6 It was further decided to instruct the institution to submit full compliance of the Pharm.D Regulations, 2008 as per following details:-
