Steps

1) Create blend of Pink to White moving up the canvas.2) Glue the Woodcraft Flourish on to the top part of the canvas.3) Paint the Leaves of the flourish in Light Green and the stems Burnt Sienna.4) Glue the small Rose flowers onto the flourish.5) Apply the Butterfly on to the corner of the Canvas.6) Apply the letters of your choice.

Steps

1) On a sheet of Canvas from an A3 Canvas Pad create a blend of Pthalo Blue to Titanium White. Let this dry.2) Glue the blended canvas sheet onto a sheet of A3 Blue Fluro Art Card. Ensure the Canvas sheet is a little smaller so there is a border from the underlying Blue sheet visible. My border is about 1 cm in size. Let this dry.3) Tape 4 glitter sheets together and profile cut this to a circular shape. Use a plate as a template. Glue this onto the desired position on the project sheet. Let this dry.4) Glue the crochet borders onto the top and bottom of the Glitter Circle. Apply these so they slightly overlap.5) From the Blue Fluro Art Card Cut a rectangle slightly larger than the photo. Glue the photo to this and apply them to the project sheet.6) Create the Flag from Blue art card and re create the same shape slighter smaller so it sits inside and a border is visible and glue this into position on the top of the project. Apply the bow onto the middle of this flag. 7) Apply the chosen flowers with craft glue around the arc of the glitter circle.8) Lastly apply the Giraffe sticker in the left hand corner.9) Stand back and admire your beautiful work.

Steps

1) Paint a thick coat of Gesso over the cover of the Sketching Journal.2) While the Gesso is still wet lay in the elements you wish to use. The Gesso acts as a glue in this case. The elements I have used have been listed above and in the order that they were applied. But feel free to choose your own elements. Let this dry.3) Give the cover and elements a thin coat of Gesso. Let this dry.4) Squeeze out a little Turquoise and Burnt Umber Dimension Acrylic paint into a palette and mix it with an equal amount of water. It should be the viscosity of milk. Drop the colour onto the cover and let this dry.5) Repeat the previous step. This overlaying of colour will make the colour more intense. Let this dry.6) Squeeze out some Burnt Sienna and mix it in equal proportions with some Acrylic Gloss Medium. This is called a glaze. Paint this glaze over the Umber fading out into the Turquoise. This will give it a grimy old worn look. Let this dry.7) Squeeze out some Gold, Silver, Copper and Bronze from the 4 piece Metallic Acrylic set into the palette. With a dry brush paint in the elements. Let this dry and give it a second coat. This will give the tone more vibrancy.8) The last step is to paint Titanium White into the frame. This provides the owner of the Journal the ability title their book.
