M cKenney’s completed HVAC and plumbing renovations for a foodservice industry leader to make its new global headquarters a showpiece of Atlanta area office space. THE CHALLENGE The company wanted its 50,000-square-foot, Class A office space to be a showstopper— with high-end finishes, a customer experience center and an enormous test kitchen. All of which had to be completed on a tight schedule and budget. THE SOLUTION McKenney’s used a value engineering process to provide creative and unique solutions. Existing ductwork and HVAC systems were modified to include supplemen- tal air controls and were upgraded. Exhaust hoods and a make-up air fan including ductwork, electric reheat and exterior louver were integrated into the impressive kitchen. High-end plumbing fixtures, water heaters and piping were installed in the break room, restroom and customer experience area. THE RESULTS McKenney’s familiarity with kitchen instal- lations and experience with fast-paced, complex jobs contributed to an on time and under budget completion of the headquarters.
