HCT Group is one of the UK’s most experienced SEN transport providers, but we know that it’s much better if young people can travel independently through travel training.

At a time of huge pressure on budgets, reducing specialist transport bills is also really important.

We have developed a world-class travel training model that helps children and young people to leave specialist transport forever.

Our programme in Leeds has a success rate of over 98%, enabling real savings – and enabling a step-change in life chances. What’s more, we are also developing a social investment bond that will reduce the up-front investment required for travel training to more manageable levels.

The Public Services ( Social Value) Act 2012 requires public bodies to consider how the services they commission might improve economic, social and environmental wellbeing.

With HCT Group, the Act need not be another exercise in compliance.

Adding additional social value is our reason for being and we use resources gained from tendered contracts to help our communities.

This can take the form of supporting traditional Community Transport, it can take the form of training for people who are long term employed, developing local supply chains and more – or we can work together to find ways of addressing your most pressing social issues.
