You’re invitedThe National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Worker Association (NATSIHWA), host of A Decade of Footprints Driving Recognition Conference is a well-established
national peak body that supports Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners.
NATSIHWA is a national body governed by a Board of Directors comprising nine
representatives from each state including the Torres Strait Islands. NATSIHWA focuses on
supporting and representing our primary health care workforce specialists the Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Practitioners who work tirelessly to maximise health outcomes and close the gap for
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
NATSIHWA’s membership has continued to grow in numbers every year since establishment
in 2009 with over 900 Full Members of its 1,900 total memberships which is spread
throughout Australia. In addition to either full or associate membership, NATSIHWA has a
valued list of registered ‘Friends’.
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander Health Practitioners are valuable and vital workforce components at the frontline
of primary health care within Australia’s health care system. Our Professionals integrate the
social and cultural determinants of health in the work we undertake on a daily basis. They
play a vital role in providing professional, ethical and culturally respectful primary health
services to individuals, families and communities.
A Decade of Footprints Driving Recognition will be held from the 9–10 October 2019 at
the Alice Springs Convention Centre.
A hosted Welcome Reception including Buffet Dinner on the evening of
9 October 2019 with the Conference culminating with an Awards Gala Dinner
on the final evening on the 10 October 2019.
We will be offering up to 75 bursaries to Full Members and 25 to Student
Members in order to enable our workforce to participate in our 10
year Anniversary National Conference A Decade of Footprints,
Driving Recognition.
We do hope you can join us to celebrate this historical
and momentous occasion.

VenueAlice Springs Convention Centre is nestled
between the MacDonnell Ranges and
Todd Riverbed, only 1.8 kilometres from
the town’s CBD. The Convention Centre is
a convenient 10-kilometre ride from the
airport.
Main Plenary will be situated in the Ellery
Room with the Exhibition Hall and all
catering being set up in the MacDonnell
Room AB.

2019 Marks 10 years since the formation of NATSIHWAThis year’s theme A Decade of Footprints, Driving Recognition
is being held with the aim of offering insight into the Past,
Present and Future of NATSIHWA and the overall importance of
strengthening the primary health care sector’s unique workforce
of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and
Health Practitioners throughout Australia.
Over the 9-10 October 2019 delegates will be exposed to
networking opportunities whilst immersing themselves with
a combination of traditional and practical conference style
delivery. Our intention is to engage Aboriginal and/or Torres
Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners
in the history and knowledge exchange of the past,
todays evidence based best practice programs/services
available and envisioning what the future has to offer
for all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health
Workers and Health Practitioners.

Terms & Conditions The Contract
1. The term ‘Organiser’ refers to NATSIHWA and its Secretariat organising the conference A Decade of Footprints, Driving Recognition
2. The terms ‘Sponsor’ and ‘Exhibitor’ include any person, firm, Company or corporation and its employees identified in the booking form or other written request for Sponsorship/Exhibition Space.
3. A “Contract” is formed between the Organiser and Sponsor and / or Exhibitor when the Organiser accepts the signed application form.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse application or prohibit any Sponsor / Exhibitor from participation without assigning a reason for such refusal or prohibition.
5. The Organiser may cancel the contract at their discretion if full payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice issue date. Additionally the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the contract at their discretion by returning the deposit within 30 days of receipt.
6. The Organiser reserves the right to change the exhibition floor layout.
7. The Organiser reserves the right in unforeseen circumstances to amend or alter the exact site of the location of the stand.
8. The Organiser may refuse without limitation to permit activity within the exhibition or may require cessation of particular activities at their discretion.
9. The Organiser reserves the right to specify heights of walls and coverings for display areas.
10. The Organiser may determine the hours during which the Exhibitor will have access to exhibition venue for setting up and dismantling.
11. The Organiser will specify conditions relating to the movement of goods and displays, prior, during and after the exhibition.
12. The Organiser will accept no liability for loss or damage of equipment displayed or used by the Exhibitor.
13. The Organiser and the Organising Committee reserve the right to change any part of the prospectus.
Obligations and rights of exhibitor
14. The Exhibitor must ensure that all accounts are finalised and paid 30 days before the Conference start date. Excluding the Bronze and Morning Wellness Sponsors where payment is strictly due 16 weeks prior to 08 October 2019.
15. The Exhibitor must use allocated space only for the display and promotion of goods and /or services within the scope of the exhibition.
16. The Exhibitor must comply with all directions /requests issued by the Organiser including those outlined in the Exhibitor Manual.
17. The Exhibitor will submit plans and visuals of any custom designed exhibits to the Organiser for approval prior to Conference starting.
18. The Exhibitor acknowledges that the Organiser will not be able to provide assistance in tracking lost deliveries.
19. The Exhibitor agrees that the Organiser will not be liable for any goods rejected by the venue or lost or damaged prior to the delivery date specified or on return.
20. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to ensure that the space hired for their exhibition complies with their Company policy or codes of conduct.
Storage of Goods
21. Instructions regarding storage will be outlined in the Exhibitor Manual distributed prior to the exhibition.
Stand Services & Construction
22. Official contractors will be appointed by the Organiser to undertake stand construction plus supply furniture and IT equipment. All nonofficial contractors wishing to enter the exhibition are required to provide current Certificates of Currency for Insurance, Public Liability and OH&S. Access will be denied without such documentation.
Insurance & Liability
23. All Exhibitors must have Public Liability Insurance for the period of the exhibition. Evidence of this must be sent to the Organiser at least one week prior to the Conference start date.
24. Exhibitors must insure, indemnify and hold the Organiser harmless in respect of all damages,
injuries, costs, claims, demands, expenses and interest for which the Organiser may become liable.
25. The Organiser, the venue, the Organising Committee cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to property sustained or occasioned from any cause whatsoever.
Payment & Cancellation
26. All bookings must be accompanied with a credit card to secure the booking. No monies will be charged to this credit card at the time of bookings.
27. Payment must be made within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
28. Your preferred booth allocation will be held for the 30 days after the invoice has been sent. After this time, the Organiser reserves the right to reallocate any Exhibitor to another space if payment has not been received in full.
29. All payments and registrations must be confirmed and paid 30 days before the Conference start date.
30. If payment has not been made 30 days before the Conference start date, the Organiser reserves the right to charge the full amount owed to the credit card on file.
31. Cancellation must be advised in writing to the Organiser.
32. If an Exhibitor cancels before they have paid for the booking, the Organiser reserves the rights to use the credit card on file to charge the appropriate cancellation fee.
33. No Sponsor or Exhibitor shall occupy allocation space until all monies owing to the Organiser by the Sponsor or Exhibitor are paid in full.
34. The Exhibitor accepts that a cancellation fee of:
• The organiser will retain 50% of the total contracted cost if cancellation occurs prior to and including 10 August 2019.
• The organiser will retain 75% of the total contracted cost if cancellation occurs within the period 10 August 2019 – 10 September 2019.
• The organiser will retain 100% of the total contracted cost if cancellation occurs on or after 10 September 2019.
