A CUTE MUSHROOM’S LOVE

In my dreams today,

A cute she-mushroom fell in love for the first time.

Upon hearing this, all her friends laughed their hearts out.

“You will never be anything but a poisonous mushroom !

Even make-up won’t help you hide this ! ”

In my dream today,

The Cute She-Mushroom, stung by their remarks,

nonetheless sets her mind on a heavy make-up.

“I really want to be loved ! ”

And thus she thoroughly puts make-up on all over her body.

In my dream today,

A young prince stands all alone,

trying to avoid being drenched in the rain.

The Cute She-Mushroom shows up next to him and offers.

“I would love to be able to help you,

So if it’s fine with you, I shall be your umbrella. ”

In my dream today,

The Cute She-Mushroom is doggedly protecting the Prince from the rain.

Her make-up starts running, and finally melts down totally ....

In my dream today,

The Prince asks the Cute She-Mushroom to marry him.

Upon hearing this, his whole family laughed their heart out.

“She’s nothing but a vulgar poisonous mushroom !

A Prince with a mushroom ?!? This is grotesque !!! ”

In my dream today,

The Prince drinks some Magic Philter,

And instantly turns into a Mushroom-Prince.

In my dream today,

The Mushroom-Prince and the Cute Mushroom

Are walking away hand in hand, with radiant smiles on their faces !

THE APPLE TREE

In my dreams today,

The apple tree in the back of my garden

Gave sweet and delicious apples.

A raccoon dog showed up.

He pointed to the tree and told me.

“To start with, this tree is my tree !

It’s been mine since the beginning of times !”

I said nothing, staring at the tree in great admiration.

But deep from my heart came this faint murmur...

“This is so true ! Who is it you actually belong to ?”

In my dream today,

The Raccoon Dog picks a bunch of apples

and goes his way...

In my dream today,

The apple tree in the back of my garden

Gave sweet and delicious apples.

A mother squirrel and her little one showed up.

She pointed to the tree and told me.

“To start with, this tree is our tree !

It’s been ours since the beginning of times ! ”

I said nothing, staring at the tree in great admiration

But deep from my heart came this faint murmur...

“This is so true ! Who do you actually belong to ?”

In my dream today,

The Squirrel and her little one pick a bunch of apples

and go their way ...

In my dream today,

A large flock of crows showed up.

They pointed to the tree and told me.

In my dream today,

Each and every crow picks an apple and flies its way ...

In my dream today,

I was staring in great admiration at that tree that wouldn’t answer me,

And deep from my heart came this faint murmur...

“This is so true ! In the end, who do you really belong to ? “

ALL TOGETHER!

In my dreams today,

Somewhere deep down at the bottom of the ocean,

I’m dancing the Hula-Hula with the fish.

A gorilla suddenly shows up.

The gorilla joins us, and starts dancing the Hula-Hula with.us !

The fish and the gorilla are dancing the Hula-Hula together !!!

Hula-Hula ! Hula-Hula ! All Hula-dancing !

In my dream today,

Somewhere far out at the edge of the ice-cap of the North or South Pole,

whichever, I’m jumping rope with the penguins.

A panda suddenly shows up.

The panda joins us, and starts jumping rope together with.us !

We are all jumping rope like old friends !!!

Hop! Hop! Hop! All skipping the same rope !

In my dream today,

Somewhere far up in the sky, over on a cloud,

I’m dancing the Bon-Ohdori together with angels.

*Bon-Ohdori: A traditional Japanese summer dance.

Little demons suddenly show up.

The little demons join us, and start dancing the Bon-Ohdori with.us !

In my dream today,

We are all dancing the Bon-Ohdori, the angels, the little demons and I !

Bonh! Bonh! Bonh! Dancing the Bon-Ohdori !

And all together, we’re laughing and laughing and laughing !!!

THE BEE THAT WOULDN’T FLY

In my dreams today,

A bee that wouldn’t fly tell me;

“Actually, I do know how to fly,

But what’s the point,

since the sky is all but emptiness anyway?!”

So I thought for a long while,

And then started flapping both my arms up and down.

“I also want to go out there, I really want to go !

and check this emptiness out for myself ! ”

The Bee that wouldn’t fly points his finger at me,

I who cannot fly, and bursts out laughing ....

In my dream today,

The Bee that wouldn’t fly tells me :

“Actually, I do know how to fly,

But what’s the point, since the Devil is up there waiting in lie!?! ”

“I also want to fly there,

I really want to go and check out by myself

this Devil who’s haunting the skies !”

I do manage to fly just a little bit,

But the Bee that wouldn’t fly bursts out laughing ...

So I thought for a long while,

And then started fluttering both my arms up and down in earnest.

In my dream today,

I did fly the skies !

As I flapped my two arms graciously,

I roared up into the sky ....

When he saw this, the Bee that wouldn’t fly

Started fluttering his own wings,

And finally ended up flapping them

and flapping them, frantically, desperately ...

In my dream today,

The Bee that wouldn’t fly was actually flying !.

And we were both flying the skies together ....

In my dream today,

The Bee that wouldn’t fly was up there,

way over the clouds,

And she was radiant !!!.

THE BIG TOFU SLAB

In my dreams today,

I saw a big tofu slab crying its heart out.

So I thought for a long while,

And then brought an armful of delicious seaweed

“Now how about you put these all over your head!

That way, you’ ll for sure look so chic and elegant!”

The Big Tofu Slab was basking in happiness.

Wagging his new hairdo all over the place was so much fun.

In my dream today,

I saw the Big Tofu Slab crying his heart out.

So I thought for a long while,

And then brought a bucketful of miso paste.

“Now, how about you spread this all over your body.

That way for sure you’ ll feel nice and warm! ”

The Big Tofu Slab was ecstatic.

Snugly wrapped up in his new miso coat,

He felt so warm he was in heaven!

In my dreams today,

I saw a big tofu slab crying sadly.

So I thought for a long while,

And then brought him a large wooden bowl.

“How about you went to sleep now!

This way, tomorrow you can really have a ball of a time”

So still crying, the Big Tofu Slab lies down in his large wooden bowl.

In my dream today, the Big Tofu Slab grumbled.

“If I do go to sleep now,

can I really be sure I’ ll have a geat time tomorrow?”

In my dream today,

I saw the Big Slab of Tofu deep in his dreams.

In my dream today,

The Big Tofu Slab was radiant!

THE MOLE’S ADVICE

In my dreams today,

Somewhere on the planet, the road forks in front of me.

And I really don’t know which of the two I should choose.

That’s just when a mole pops its head out,

And points its little finger in the direction I should be taking.

The Mole is offering his advice by pointing his finger ....

In my dream today,

I set about in the direction the Mole did recommend.

In my dream today,

Somewhere on the planet, I come to a dead end.

I stop dead in my tracks, thinking it’s all over.

That’s just when the Mole pops his head out again !

He suggested in a smile that I should dig a hole.

The Mole offered his advice in a smile ....

In my dream today,

I’m digging a hole, just as the Mole recommended.

In my dream today,

Somewhere on the planet,

deep down in a hole,

It was pitch dark and I was petrified,

as in the worst of my nightmares.

And the Mole yet again pops his head out !

He was encouraging me to to sing a song.

The Mole offered his advice by encouraging me....

Deep inside my dark hole,

Taking the Mole’s advice, I start singing.

In my dream today,

I’m digging and digging and digging,

and singing and singing and singing !

THE TIGER THAT WAS TOO EMOTIONAL

In my dreams today,

A tiger was being totally candid with what was tormenting him

“If only we could feed on grass,

Then it would be so easy to be pals with everyone ...”

I happened to hear his secret by sheer coincidence.

But then, a doe that looked just like me tells him,

“If you really are a tiger, then behave like one,

And be a tiger that I can be afraid of ! ”

In my dream today,

The Tiger says nothing, bows his head low,

And grinds his teeth to repress his tears.

In my dreams today,

A tiger was being totally candid

The Tiger chooses the highest of all mountains,

and frantically rushes all the way up to

the summit.

In my dream today,

Standing on top of the highest of all mountains,

the Tiger is proudly displaying his

strength to everybody around. He then declares.

“ If I do exist, it is truely thanks to all of you !”

In my dream today,

On top of the highest of all mountains,

gone is the Tiger who was too emotional !
