    RELIGION AND TECHNOLOGY

    At the dawn of mankind, religion wastechnology and technology was religion.To some extent this is still a widely acceptedconcept for some of the primitivepeoples of our times who have not yetbeen touched by technologicaladvancement and whose senses have notyet been destroyed as a result ofindoctrination by organized mass religions:religions whose purpose is the socio-economic repression of the populationinstead of offering their followers trueadvancement, or enlightenment.

    At a later stage in human evolutiona split occurred. Things that people sawas tangible they considered to betechnological while that which was nottangible belonged to the realms that theyconsidered to be spiritual. Laterorganized religions seized the latterapproach as their own while viciouslysuppressing any technologicaladvancement that could threaten theirmonopolies of controlling the population.

    This split between scientists andMetaphysicists exists still in our days.

    The typical scientists are attempting todiscover structures and natural laws in thetangible world. Metaphysicists andtheologians had as their goal to describethat which is going on in the intangibleworld. Followers of organized religiontraditionally lacked metaphysical insights.Consequently they resorted to outrightinventing of fairy tales and they used bruteforce to make sure their obedient sheepdid not stray away.

    With the advancement of scientificthought in recent times something ratherunexpected happened. Things that weresupposed to be tangible turned out not tobe that tangible after all. At the same timenew scientific systems developed thatbegan to probe into the many worlds ofthings intangible. The tacitly assumedsharp demarcation between that which isreligious and psychic and that which istechnological and scientific provedincreasingly to be arbitrary and an illusionthat came from wishful thinking.

    On the other hand, researchers onthe metaphysical side became increasinglyaware of the usefulness of scientific modelsand of scientific rigor. Most metaphysicistsof our times however are not yet fullyaware of the usefulness of this beneficialdevelopment. If they are they usuallyembed pop scientific concepts andverbiage into their theories. Others arestill exhibiting a total lack of scientifictraining. Some even go sop far to carryhostility against scientific thought andmethods. Sadly enough, it is a bunch ofscientific half wits, or quarter wits, thatcontrol much of the metaphysical thinkingand publishing of our times. Books suchas the Tao of Physics and EnochianPhysics are the creation of such pop-scientific lightweights. They are usingliberally big words such as unified fieldtheory, quantum physics and fourthdimension without having the slightest ideawhat these words really mean, let aloneunderstanding their underlying theories.Typically, if there is a scientific

  • advancement, some 30 years or so laterthe new terms are used by someMetaphysicists to prove their points orto bring across their ideas to a generalpublic that is scientifically even less literatethan they are: interpretations andinsights that make even the weirdestpop-scientific ideas look advanced.

    It is more than time for a changethat brings true science into metaphysics.This is so because more and more peopleopen up to the fact that things spiritualand psychic are as valid as things that arescientific and technological, in fact that thetwo are inseparable. We have to come tothe conclusion that a spiritual, or inner,reality that is independent of or in contrastto an outer, or scientific, reality does notexist. Both realities coexist.     Karl Hans Welz is from Telfs in Tyrol,near Innsbruck, Austria. At a veryearly age, he has developed afascination for science in general andfor the stars in particular.Consequently, he has read eagerly any book onastronomy, astrophysics, mathematics and physicsthat he could get hold of. At age 16, he becameinterested in the subject of hypnosis. He beganstudying this discipline, later he perfectedAutogenic Training and eventually, at age 18, hebegan the practice of Hatha Yoga. This practicestrengthened his then frail body within a fewweeks and his overall condition and healthimproved considerably. Quite naturally, thesespectacular results gave Karl an incentive toexplore other sciences that were not part of hisacademic curriculum. Studies and practice inastrology, practical magic, rune magic, andpractice of various forms of life energy technologysuch as astral traveling and clairvoyance followedwithin one year. He studied the works of Mesmer,Korschelt, von Reichenbach, Tesla, Lahkowski, andothers. At age 19, Karl began his graduate studiesin mathematics and physics. Several times, heinterrupted his academic studies to travelextensively. In the course of these travels, hegained valuable information about magicalpractices and the use of life force in many culturesand traditions and he met many gifted teachersand adepts on the subject matter.

    During his stays in South Africa, Switzerland, Berlin,and, since 1974, the United States of America, hecontinued his studies, which he then rounded offwith general semantics, radionics, Reichianpsychology, and orgone physics. Shortly after hisarrival in the United States, he built his first orgoneaccumulators and conducted multiple experimentswith these amazing devices. It was obvious thatwhat Reich called orgone was the same form ofenergy that he had explored for more than adecade before knowing of Reich. In fact, a devicehe built years earlier following the plans ofKorschelt was an orgone accumulator. Korscheltcalled his device a Solar Ether RadiationApparatus its plans are dating back to 1897. Mesmers barrels with iron filings, also built andtested by Welz years before he studied Reich, wereobviously the earliest orgone accumulators ofwhich we know that were built by a scientist withthe accumulation of life force in mind. Therefore,we can safely say that Franz Anton Mesmer hasinvented the life force accumulator one and a halfcenturies before Reich.

    Soon he realized that orgone can be projected atany distance and that this projection followsstructural links. This is a fact that was evident topeople of all ages and cultures who harnessed lifeforce, such as shamans, conjurers, spiritualworkers, magicians, and healers. For this typetransfer he had to develop a mathematical modelthat accounts for this phenomenon. This modelalso accounts for many of the amazing

    As we have pointed out in theprevious chapter, the psychic and spiritualdimensions are the basis of technologiesto act upon our inner and outerenvironments. Therefore it becameimportant that part of the training andpreparation for handling new technologiescomes from within the individual. Suchtraining can then ensure rapid and safe
