Our mission is to educate Albertans in personal money management and the wise use of credit and to provide alternatives for families and individuals facing financial crisis.

PUBLIC EDUCATIONMoney Mentors offers FREE in-person financial
presentations and online courses on a variety of topics.
In-Person Presentations FREE, in-person 1-hour presentations offered on the second Wednesday of every month (except July and
August) throughout Alberta.
Online Courses Prefer to learn at your own pace?
Our FREE narrated 1- and 2-hour online courses are available to everyone.
Corporate and Community ProgramsFinancial education presentations to community
groups, not-for-profit organizations and companies. We are also available for information sessions on our
services and trade shows.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS
It’s never too early to empower young people to make sound financial decisions! Our FREE presentations to kindergarten through Grade 12 are highly interactive, activity-based and align with the Alberta curriculum.
Elementary Students explore concepts of earning, saving, spending and sharing money. We introduce financial topics such
as Canadian coins, bills and differentiating between needs and wants.
Junior High Students go deeper into money management
concepts and learn the importance of real cost, saving money and credit.
High School Students develop budgeting skills and learn the
importance of making sound financial decisions. They explore different types of credit, methods of building and maintaining good credit and options for funding
post-secondary education.
The Managing Money and Understanding Credit presentation is also offered as an online course.
Youth in the Community Participants learn effective ways of managing their money and focus on earning, spending, saving and borrowing. They explore banking concepts and the
relationship between education and earning potential.
Extension Activities Teachers and parents are encouraged to use
the extension activities to enhance learning and solidify money concepts. These activities can be
downloaded from our website.

Orderly Payment of Debts program The Orderly Payment of Debts (OPD) program is an established debt consolidation repayment program
that gives you the comfort of repaying your unsecured debt in full at a reduced rate of 5% and freedom from
collection calls. This program is exclusively offered and managed by Money Mentors on behalf of the
Government of Alberta.
Money CoachingFrom budgeting and debt management to retirement
planning – we’ll help you build a financial plan and teach you how to get the most out of your money
without a sales pitch.
