    Book of Firsts

    Step by Step:

    1. Using your Purple Cows 1040 Trimmer, Purple Cows Click Blade 2801,

    and a 12x12 sheet of Clear Scraps Acrylic, cut into graduating sizes: 4" x 5";

    4" x 6"; 4" x 7"; 4" x 8".

    2. Using your double sided patterned papers place title onto rst 4x5

sheet ( I used MY FIRSTS) and decorate back side to match. The perfectglue for this is the Helmar Glue Runner or the Helmar 450 Quick Dry. Be

mindful that whatever you place on the back will show through. See

    example of nished pages.

    3. On 4 x 6 sheet of cut acrylic place title letters on the edge (see

example photos) and do so on remaining sheets.

    4. Decorate each page according to your style and gender of the baby. Lace and rhinestones add the perfect touch to these pages

    5. Taking each sheet of decorated acrylic

measure " in and 1" from top and

bottom. Place small mark and punch hole

through each one for binding with ribbon.

    6. Turn your Purple Cows Laminator on

    and let it heat up.

    7. Using 2 or 3 delicate ribbons (You could even braid them) lace through each page and tie loosely. The reason I did not

use rings on this project or heavy ribbon is due to the matching book wallet and the capacity for a purse or diaper bag. I

    wanted to keep it slim!

Book of Firsts8. Using your Purple Cows Combo Trimmer and #2801 Click Blade cut an 8 x

11 piece of dual sided patterned paper to match project.

    9. Using a Purple Cows Hot Pocket and the Purple Cows Laminator, laminate

    step 8 cut paper.

    10. In your Purple Cows Combo Trimmer change your click blade to the scorin

    blade #2811.

    11. Using the Purple Cows Combo Trimmer and the scoring blade, score 8 x

11 laminated sheet at 1" down for the ap.

    12. Turn laminated sheet over, and using your Purple Cows Combo Trimmer

and scoring blade, score 8 x 11 laminated sheet at 5" up so sheet will fold

neatly into envelope position. I suggest you run the scoring blade across 3

    times for perfect folds.

    13. Using your sewing machine and coordinating thread, stitch " in on

each side leaving the 1" fold without any stitching.

    14. On 1" folded ap for the top of the laminated pocket/wallet place a 3

strip of velcro OR a 3-4" strip of magnet. Helmar 450 Quick Dry works

amazingly well on these. Be sure to allow sucient drying time.

15 .Using your Purple Cows #Combo Trimmer and coordinating

tags/embellishments, decorate the front and back of Laminated

pocket/wallet being mindful not to add too much bulk because it will be

moved and shued around quite a bit.
