Oakwood’s mission is to delight our members, families and guests with a high quality country club experience at a great value. Oakwood is in the business of making people feel at home at their club by providing the services they desire in a personalized manner creating a strong sense of belonging in a relaxing atmosphere.

We have a busy golf event and wedding season approaching so please check the newsletter and emails for any changes to normal golf dining operations.

Our best Membership leads come from our internal Members. Are any of your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers interested? Let me know if you think anyone is interested and I will take it from there to get them signed up. The more members we have the more fun we all have as a membership.

Membership Referral Program

Did you know that you are eligible to receive up to $25 a month in credit for referring a new member to Oakwood? Stop in the Business Office and pick up a Member Referral Card that you are able to present to your friends, family, or business associate to use for a complimentary round of golf and dinner. If they join you will start receiving a $25 monthly credit through February 2018 for every golf member, and $10 for every Social member that joins.

It is hard to believe that we are already in the heart of

Summer. I hope everyone has had a chance to get

out on the golf course and enjoy the magnificent con-

dition that it is in right now. Next time you see Troy

or a member of his staff, let them know that they are

doing a great job!

There were a lot of great events in July, and plenty

more coming up in August, so make sure to get

signed up for them if you haven’t already.

Lastly, there is still plenty of time to get your game

Hi Everyone.

Summer is off to a great start. It's nice to see some new faces joining our golf

groups.

Keep checking the calendar for all the fun events the club has planned. We

had such a great time at the Ladies’ Member Guest. Thanks to Carol McCor-

Play with the Pro Series

PGA Championship

Saturday, August 12th

Come out and play your normal game on Saturday, but before you tee it up, sign up for a fun new event! Play with the Pro series allows

you to play on a team with a PGA Tour Player!

You will be randomly drawn a PGA Tour Player that has made the cut at The US Open before your round. You will then play that day and

turn in your net score to the golf shop at the end of your round. One your round is complete, it’s time to sit back and cheer on your Pro that weekend. We will take your net score and add it to the PGA Tour

Players’ weekend scores to come up with a team total. There will be payouts for each major. In addition, we’ll keep a running

total throughout the year (money list) and after the PGA Championship, have an end of the year winner!

Open to all Golf, LTD & Social Members ~ Men & Women

Hi Everyone!

Junior Club Championship just wrapped up as I am writing this and it is awesome to see all the happy faces showing off their trophies. Way to go kids!!! Come and kick it Old School with us August 4th for Couples golf, I might have to get my old Persimmon Powerbilts out of the basement. Good luck to all the defending Cham-pions as well as everyone else this August 6th, it’s not too late to sign up. Come out to Play with the Pro’s on the 12th and maybe cheer on someone you normally wouldn’t.

What a great turnout for the Ladies’ Member Guest! You girls sure know how to party.

It’s hard to believe August is already here, this year has really flown by. Our Back to School Pool Party will be the 26th. Okay fine, I’ll get in the dunk tank.

Hello Oakwood Members. I hope everyone has been enjoying this great weather we have had so far and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities we have to offer here at Oakwood. This month we have a lot of fun & exciting things planned for you. The first one is the Kids Culinary Camp which is on the 1st of this month. We hope to see a lot of happy kids and parents! Next, for all you men who take golf and having a great time seriously we have the Men’s Member Guest coming up the 17th, 18th and 19th. We will have tons of great food prepared fresh from the culinary team along with cold drinks and of course lots of golf! Hope to see all the men and their friends out here. We also have a couple of golf and dinner events on the 4th and the 15th where you will be able to come play 9 holes of golf and eat some fantastic food afterwards. Hope to see everyone out here soon.
