The Actiflo® Turbo process

Actiflo® Turbo is equipped with:

• a coagulation tank

• a flocculation tank with TurbomixTM

• a hydraulically optimized settling tank with lamella

• a hydrocyclone for microsand recovery. Alternativelya VWS MA hydrocyclone with integrated microsandwashing facility.

At the heart of the Actiflo® Turbo system, theTurbomix was designed to enhance the flocculation efficiency by introducing the following features:

ACTIFLO® TURBO

Optional sludge thickening

Actiflo® Turbo is also available with a Turbo thickener.

In this configuration, an external thickening tank is addedto the base equipment, allowing the sludge from the hydrocyclone to be thickened and for the water to be partially recycled.

A specific hydrocyclone has been developped for this application, wich integrates a microsand washing device in order to maximize sludge recovery and thickening.

Depending to the type of water and the TSS* present, thethickened sludge can reach a concentration of up to 2%.Thickening the sludge also reduces the water loss down toapproximately 0.3%.
