92s : Biography
Angelo, Jeremiah D. Assigned a new identity under the Federal Witness Protection
Program, he is working at a public library near you.
Andzoey, Franny. Quit her job and married Bill soon after the events described above.
Discovered a new vocation as an award-winning travel writer after publishing an article about
their “spontaneous marriage event” in Tuscany.
Austen, Bill. After helping the Cistercian Monastery digitize their collection and link it
to a searchable on-line catalog, Bill transferred to the Abbey in Muenster, Switzerland, where he
married Franny and completed his doctoral thesis. Post-doctoral studies have taken Bill and
Franny to Venice, Milan, Rome, and Alexandria.
Belden, Trixie. After a nation-wide candidate search, Trixie Belden was appointed the
new director of the River Bend Library System.
Canyon, Steve. Director of the second best writers’ school in Iowa, Steve has “bagged
more mountains than I can count, really,” and written books about most of them.
Cordova, Cody. After overseeing construction of the 21st Century Library & Convention
Center, Cody retired. Selling out his KeyCo stock just before the bubble burst, Cody was able to
retire while young and still-good looking. Tabbed to serve on the board of the Humanitas
Project, Cody hangs with Ex-President Jimmy Carter, traveling the world, overseeing
construction of affordable and ecologically-responsible housing.
Davis, Jefferson. Jefferson Davis quit teaching, cold turkey, and went off to write that
novel he had so often spoken of at so many writers’ conferences. Jeez, it’s been ten years now,
and no word from him yet.

Virginia, where she is director of a library in a building designed by Frank Loyd Wright and

Dude, Derick the. Living large on the fully restored S.S. Magnolia, a floating museum of
riverboat history and fully operational casino cruising up and down the Mississippi, funded by
the NEA, the NPR, the National Historic Trust, donations from the Phew Charitable Fund, and
from people like you.
Fitzgerald, Zelda. Died in her sleep of natural causes incident to old age soon after the
events described above. Family and friends request that in lieu of flowers, please send a donation
to the Friends of Libraries, U.S.A.
Livingstone, Stanley. Retired soon after the events described above. Bought his own
damn island with proceeds from sales of his KeyCo stock, after selling out at the historic high
point for a company that no longer exists. Talk about your flash in the pan. Just an instant in the
stream of things, and yet it irrevocably changed so many lives.
Madley, Marian. Quit the library and opened an art gallery with proceeds from sales of
her KeyCo stock.
Matt, Mayor. Dedicated to a life of public service, Mayor Matt is still at large. “Why
risk your capital in the private sector, when public RDAs are so much more lucrative, return-for-
investment-wise, if you get my drift,” he said with a wink and a nudge.
Mephistopheles, Dr. Frank. Linchpin of the KeyCo deal for the 21st Century Library /
Convention Center, the whereabouts of Dr. Mephistopheles are not known. He’s gone and left no
trace. It’s as if he never existed.

cashing in her KeyCo stock, Helena bought a forest preserve on the coast of Oregon where she
runs a non-profit shelter for homeless women and children.

named, apparently, Digit. “It rhymes with Gidget,” said Jamie during a brief phone conversation,
“and that’s the kinda girl she is.”

Francisco and editing it for eight years, Rachael quit to write a book about affordable modern
home design.
Robinofsky, Argentina. Currently managing the Farmer’s Market for Mayor Matt,
Argentina Robinofsky still hasn’t given up her dream of organizing River City artists into a
unified group. “Heads up, guys,” Argentina said recently. “Next meeting is at the Finnmeister’s,
down by the river.”

reincarnated as The Museum of Library Science, and home of the Mississippi River Folklore
Society.

Library System. Barney is still happily married and the father of three children, “all of them
perfectly healthy and normal with ten fingers and toes, thank you.”
Seriatim, Sybil. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Sybil Seriatim is requested to
contact the Fraud & Vice squad at River Bend Police Department. She is wanted for questioning
about a string of kited checks and bad credit cards used during her brief rein as Publisher/Editor
of NEXXUS Magazine and director of the Deep River Blues Festival.

dark, monitoring the magazines and music department of the 21st Century Library.
