Standard: WHI.2 The student will demonstrate knowledge of early development of humankind from the Paleolithic Era to the agricultural revolution by explaining how archaeological discoveries are changing present-day knowledge of early peoples.

Objective: SWBAT analyze prehistoric artifacts to explain how archaeological discoveries:

-help modern people understand past civilizations-are changing present-day knowledge

of early peoples and civilizations

Prehistory is the time before written records were kept.

Because these people didn’t write down their history we have to do our best to figure out what happened.

By studying fossils, archaeologists can learn about what people ate, what animals they had around, and their way of life.
