Fall Team Torture Nov. 14, 4:30 p.m. For the individual who is all about speed and agility, this event is for you! Hot off the success of “Team Endurance” during Frontiercade, we have created an indoor version of this exciting event. Your team will be timed during a series of events that will take you through hurdles, box jumps, a weighted drag, sprints and much more. The team to complete the course in the fastest time will receive a prize and have their squad-ron/team name placed on our Team Torture trophy. Each team will consist of four members, with one being a female.

Fitness Improvement Program (FIP) Need help with your fitness assessment (FA) or just need a good push to work out? Come to our FIP classes offered Monday - Friday at 7 a.m. These workouts change daily and will consist of cardio and strength portions. As part of the program, mock FAs will be conducted so you can see where you are and how much you have improved.

Active Duty Military - Do You Need Help With a Workout Plan? Did you know that your fitness staff is trained to provide one-on-one training for all active duty members? With this training, your fitness staff will discuss with you what your goals are and give you five free one-on-one train-ing sessions. You will also receive an equipment orientation and a program designed just for you.

The Give Parents A Break Program is Nov. 15, noon - 6 p.m. and provides free child care to families under stress with children ages 6 weeks - 12 years. Circum-stances include separation due to deployment, remote

through 1st Sgt, CDC, Youth Center, A&FRC and Mental

Health. Registration must be completed by Nov. 10. For

Turkey Bowl Nov. 20, 2 p.m. Cooperative Fabulous Fun Afternoon with Warren Lanes and the Arts and Crafts Center! We will hold a Turkey Bowl in the Arts and Crafts parking lot. Teams of three will decorate one pin each. Best decorated pin wins a turkey. Team of three will use their decorated pins and two regular pins and roll bowling balls. Each member rolls one ball and the team with the highest score will win two large one topping pizzas from Warren Lanes! Decorated pins can be entered into the Air Force Gallery through the Arts and Crafts Center.

Crafts & Corks - Paint a Pair of Holiday Wine Glass Nov. 21, 6 - 8 p.m. Enjoy a sip of wine while you paint and relax. Snacks and non-al-coholic beverages will be served along with an evening of fun and paint. Make it a Date Nite or Girls Night Out! $35.

Beginning Sewing - Learn Basic Sewing Skills Bring that machine sitting in the box and we will show you how it works or use one of ours. Bring good scissors, seam ripper, and a sense of adventure! Cost is $20. Call to schedule your class.

Christmas Stocking Class Make a stocking out of old jeans or uni-forms. Christmas accent fabrics avail-able. Use our sewing machines and supplies. Name embroidery included. Cost is $25 and can be scheduled any-time Tuesday through Friday.

Start your holiday plans! Come on in to the studio and we will get you started on home deco items, old west broncs and steers, turkey plat-ter, holiday mugs, plates, steins, and more. Prices vary with choice of item. Children of deployed service members can stop in and paint a free ornament to send to Mom or Dad!

Join in the Celebration of El Dia de los Muertos - The Day of The Dead. Activities will include decorative painted Calaveras (skulls) or Talavera de-sign tiles to paint. Cost is $20. Free Paper Craft Masks for kids to color and wear.

Stained Glass Circular Collage Work with scrap glass of all colors, learn cutting techniques, grinding and soldering to create a beautiful Sun Catcher. Cost is $20. Get a group to-gether and schedule an evening party or social to get ready for the holidays!

Vedauwoo ATV Trip (Single Air-men) Nov. 1 Depart ODR at 8 a.m. and return about 3 p.m. Check out the beautiful snow kissed rock forma-tions just west of FE Warren. Fee is $35. Bring a sack lunch.

Veteran’s Day New Belgium Brewery Tour Nov. 11 Join us for a 90 minute tour and plenty of beer sampling at New Belgium Brewery fol-lowed by stops at other local brewer-ies. We will depart Outdoor Recreation at 1:30 p.m. for the 3 p.m. tour. We will return about 8 p.m. Bring money for food. A $10 fee includes transpor-tation and tour.

Cardboard Build a Boat Compe-tition Nov. 15 Noon at the Aquatic Center. Teams must build boats out of cardboard and duct tape only. Prizes will be given out! Lunch will be pro-vided. Admission is FREE.

Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot Nov. 5, 3 - 5 p.m. Test your skills at the archery range, first place in each age group (30+, 18-30, 8-17) takes home a turkey. You provide your own equipment, Outdoor Recreation will have our new archery equipment available with prior coordination, lim-ited to first eight customer requests. Fee is only $5.

Get Your Gear On! Nov. 19, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Come on down to ODR to get fit for your ski and snowboard equipment. Make future reservations a snap with a card on file with all your information. FREE food and refresh-ments as well as information on pro-grams and the upcoming season.

Flick-N-Float Nov. 22, 7 p.m. Free Birds (kids movie) Float around the pool and watch a movie. Admission is FREE.

Ski Loveland Nov. 22 You’ve waited all summer long for this day, our first ski trip of the year. Look-ing for an adrenaline rush that can only come from cutting fresh tracks in untouched powder? Loveland’s Chair 9 whisks skiers and riders to the chutes and ridges along the Conti-nental Divide, higher than any other four-passenger chairlift in the world. Depart Outdoor Recreation at 6 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. Cost is only $80 which includes transportation, lift ticket and rental equipment.

Cut Your Own Christmas Tree Nov. 30 We will depart Outdoor Recreation at 8 a.m. for Snowy Range

and return late afternoon/evening. Bring your lunch, warm clothes and gloves. Join us as we spend the day singing Christmas Carols, playing in the snow and hunting for the perfect Christmas Tree. Fee is $20 which in-cludes a Christmas Tree to take home and hot chocolate. If you have family members going that do not take a tree, the fee is $10.

Breckenridge Ski Weekend: (Single Airmen) Nov. 28 - 30 We will depart Outdoor Recreation at noon Friday for Breckenridge and return about 6 p.m. on Sunday. Fee is $150 per person for cabin style lodging (you may be on a cot). Price includes transportation, lodging, ONE lift pass, and your ski or snowboard rental. You will be responsible for your own food.

Volunteers Needed! OAP is looking for volunteer ski bus drivers for the upcoming season. All volun-teers must have a valid government driver’s license with a surrey bus endorsement, First Aid and a current CPR certification. Come and enjoy a trip on us! Call 773-2988 for informa-tion.
