99. Sometimes I shot the Girl Next Door

You know, I went through phases like any other artist does. Picasso had

his blue period, and I had my girl next door period. I think early on, I

would build somewhat fancy sets and dress the model in sexy lingerie or

maybe like a hill tribe girl, but later, when I shot a set, I didn’t use many

props or fancy outfits or anything, I just shot the girl in her own clothes

exactly as she appeared when she showed up at my door. Usually they

came over with makeup on already, so as soon as she walked in the door,

she was good to go. I’d just ask her to go sit on the bed, and we’d start

talking to each other, you know, getting comfortable, getting to know

each other, and I’d be shooting the whole time. Maybe I was just getting

lazy, but then again, as far as I’m concerned, a pretty girl is already sexy

just the way she is when you see her on the street, you know, a little

makeup, jeans and a t-shirt. I mean Playboy was ok, but all that styling

can take away from the real natural beauty of the girl. I mean the typical

professional model shoot is model arrives, gets makeup done which takes

an hour, and hair, another hour, and then the mannequin is ready. I

don’t mean to say that I never dressed my models with sexy lingerie and

put them in a fancy set because I did, but I also shot the girl exactly how

she was when she arrived, in jeans, a t-shirt and a bit of makeup. So, the

shooting itself went something like this. The Thai cutie would come over,

a bit nervous, looking so cute and sexy in her tight ripped jeans and tiny

little shirt, and my equipment was already set up, and I’d just tell her to

go sit on my bed, or in a set that I had prepared, and just like that, I’d

start shooting. The first shots of the session were of the girl exactly as she

arrived in whatever she happened to be wearing, and as I’m clicking

away, I’m telling her to start to take her clothes off, and little by little, she

was getting more and more naked. I’ll tell you this. On my end, it was a

real turn on to do it that way. My philosophy was always, if I get turned

on, so will the world. I just happen to think that a nude photo of a pretty

girl is way more sexy if it looks like the so called pretty girl next door just

came over and took her clothes off? The other thing is, I gave the girl

very little direction, so consequently, her true beauty came out. During

the shooting, we’d just talk and laugh and have a good time, and that way

you get a real smile, not some manufactured smile, if you get my drift.

It’s way sexier, and it’s fun. Nothing wrong with a little fun with work is

there. And to be perfectly honest, those girls couldn’t speak English

anyway and I couldn’t speak Thai, so the only real communication going

on that day between the two of us was actually quite primitive. I mean, if

we were going to incorporate a dildo in the shot, I’d actually go over to

her and show her exactly what I wanted, if you get my drift.

Unfortunately, I can’t show that stuff in this book for obvious reasons.

I’ve put together some examples of some of these girls next door. I shot

these for Asian Fever, Oriental Dolls and Hong Kong Penthouse, and I

guess those guys agreed with my take on it, because they always paid me

handsomely for the stuff. Here are a couple of girls that dropped by from

right next door.
