 Access: [Maintenance/Module State]

Functions: display the communication state between the

maintenance console and each BM of the BSC

Results:

in normal conditions, module numbers will be displayed.

If the communication is faulty, a * will be placed before the

module.

2. Operation status of boards

 Access: [control/Equipment]

Functions: view and query board state and information,

reset board

Results :

in normal conditions, boards on the interface are in grey,green (active) and blue (standby).

if the board is faulty, color shown on the panel will

change to red.

Caution: if you find a board is in red, first you should confirm it has been

configured or not, then for GALM in AM you should check whether connected

alarmbox has been powered on.

3. CPU occupation status

 Access: [trace/occupation ratio]

Functions: by viewing CPU occupation ratio, the BSC load

condition (Normal, Overload and Congestion) can be known.

Results:

In normal conditions, the occupation status of CPU andmemories should be displayed in the system performance

tracing window. When the bar chart is blue, the status is

normal.

If the bar chart is yellow, the status is overloaded and red,

congested.

active/standby boards are inconsistent, if the boards have not

switched over automatically, it is required to switch over the

active and standby boards immediately, making the normalboard use the correct data and ensure the correctness of the

BSC operational data. After the active and standby boards are

switched over immediately, the original standby board will

become the active board while the original active board become

the standby board

Functions: resetting operations are be performed when some

boards are faulty. Resetting results include “successful  reset”, 

“equipment  fault”,  ”uninstalled”,  “the device can’t be reset” or 

“unexecuted” 

Caution: This operation requires the system setup authority. Do not reset a board

unless it is necessary.

Functions: mainly used to load some modified data that can not

be set online, or as a way of recovery when any problem occurs

during BSC running

Caution: Hierarchical reset operation requires system setting authority. This operation mayaffect system services. Do not perform this operation unless it is necessary.
