Insert document into the centre ofthe scanner, face up.

Select COPY function and press theGreen button.

Collect your copy from the printer.

Insert document into the centre ofthe scanner, face up.

Insert USB memory stick(FAT32, 128GB max).

Select SCAN to USB function andpress the Green button.

Wait before removing USB stick.

Ensure “L Scan App” is running onone PC only.

Insert document into the centre ofthe scanner, face up.

Open the scanner.

Spray 99% isopropylalcohol onto a lint freecloth.

Clean-Top drive rollers-Scan glass-Hold up plate-Bottom rollers

Rotate rollers by handto clean all round.

Remove the documentreturn guides.

Insert the calibration targetinto the scanner Face up,black end first.

Select the Settings.

Select Calibration.

The calibration target willbe scanned back & forthuntil complete. Pleasewait.

Extract the firmwarezipped files to the root ofa USB memory stick.

Place the USB stick intothe scanner.

Select Settings.

Select Firmware Update.

Please wait until thefirmware has loaded into thescanner and the scannerhas rebooted.

Troubleshooting

Scan to PC: Scanner stops mid scan. After small wait,document is ejected and the scan received on the PCis truncated.Network or PC is too slow to keep up with data transferrate from scanner. Check network & PC or select alower scan Quality mode.

The scanner communicates with the printer or L ScanApp on the PC via network broadcast. If more than oneof the supported printers (iPF 670/671/770/771) is onthe subnet, there is no way of defining which printer willreceive the copy. Other printer models are not affected.Similarly, if more than one copy of the L Scan Appsoftware is running on the subnet, there is no way ofdefining which PC will receive the scan file. For furtherinformation regarding network configurations, pleasecontact your local network administrator.
