Article 8 INTERNAL BOARD POLICIES Policy No. 8347 Page 1 of 1 Internal Board Policies - Methods of Operation Teacher-Administrator-Board of Education Relationships Since it is recognized that providing a high quality education for children is the paramount aim of the School District of Omaha and that good morale in the teaching staff is necessary for the best education of children: A. The Board of Education, under law, has the final responsibility of establishing policies for the district and Educational Service Unit 19. The policies for Educational Service Unit 19 shall be the same as those of the district, expect to the extent the law provides otherwise. B. The Superintendent and Superintendent's staff have the responsibility of carrying out the policies established. C. The professional teaching personnel have the ultimate responsibility of providing the best possible education in the classroom. Date of Adoption: August 18, 2014
