STEP 2
STEP 1
Trim Pillow FrontUsing a quilting ruler, trim fabric 1” - 2” from edge of design on all four sides (PHOTO 3). Cut a piece for the back using the pillow front’s final dimensions. Iron a piece of fusible woven to the wrong side of the pillow top piece (PHOTO 4).
Embroider DesignCut one piece of linen 9” x 13” for the pillow top, reserve the rest for the pillow back. Fuse a 9” x 13” piece of Ultra Clean & Tear to linen, center design in the middle of the linen, hoop and embroider design (PHOTO 1). After removing fabric from the hoop, remove stabilizer, then use OESD’s Perfect Embroidery Press Cloth to enhance your design, iron your embroidered piece face down on the press cloth and watch your embroidery pop (PHOTO 2)!

STEP 4Turn pillow right sides out and poke out the corners using a chopstick or turning tool. Press pillow and the open seam. Stuff pillow to desired amount. Hand sew opening closed with a ladder stitch using matching/coordinating thread (PHOTO 7). All done!
STEP 3Sew Pillow Baste ribbon on to top piece of pillow front (1” in from the sides), make sure ribbon doesn’t get twisted (PHOTO 5). With right sides together, pin and sew back and front pieces together using a ¼” seam allowance, leaving a 3” hole on the bottom for turning. Clip all four corners to reduce bulk (PHOTO 6).
