1.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES1.2.1. RUN-UP TEST

Engine test at higher than idle regime, may be performed from 0830 to 2100LT, inthe areas provided for that purpose, usually in North configuration, nosing toNorth in northern area of TWY T6 and in South configuration, nosing to South insouthern area of TWY T6, always following instructions from TWR.In exceptional cases, engine test may be performed on the RWY prior to authori-zation of the APT Authority. While the test is under way, it is mandatory tomaintain permanent contact with TWR on Ground frequency.Requests for engine testing clearance at any power, as well as any questionregarding engine testing procedure, must be addressed to:

1.3. RWY OPERATIONSThe entries of ACFT to RWY are not authorized via TWYs E3, E4, E5, E6, E7 andE8.TWYs E3, E4, E5, E6, E7 and E8 are used to exit the RWY.TWYs E5 and E6 are limited to ACFT B737/A320 and below.No landings or departures are authorized if a code F ACFT is taxiing.Access clearance by ATC is required for passing a switched-off stop bar locatedon RWY access.

1.4. TAXI PROCEDURESACFT shall approach the RWY and intermediate holding positions as close as pos-sible because free space behind them is not guaranteed. It is the responsibility ofthe pilots to monitor their surroundings and take measures to avoid collisionswith other ACFT as well as to inform ATC when they can not comply with aclearance.Backtrack maneuvers on RWY are not authorized.ACFT shall taxi over holding positions on T6 and L5 in VMC only.ACFT shall not taxi on TWYs T1 thru T8 if a code F ACFT is landing or taking off.Code F ACFT are authorized to taxi only on TWYs T1 thru T8, E1 and E10. All large ACFT, especially code E and F ACFT, must strictly follow the TWY cen-terline markings.Code F ACFT shall following the centerline markings with their forward landinggear, and shall taxi at low speed, with their outer engines at idle regime and tak-ing special care while thrusting asymmetrically.Access to stands from TWY may require the accomplishment of oversteermaneuvers.Code F ACFT should perform unmarked oversteer maneuvers when using any TWY E.Follow-me assistance mandatory for code F ACFT.

1.5. PARKING INFORMATION1.5.1. GENERAL

Stands H1 thru H6 are helicopter parking stands.On stands 11 thru 14, 15 thru 21, 22, 23 thru 28, 51 thru 52C, 53B thru 56 push-back required.On stand 53 push-back required for ACFT with wingspan above 85'/26m.Stands 11 thru 14, 15 thru 21, 22, 23 thru 28 and 51 are equipped with VisualDocking Guidance System (VDGS).No ACFT parking is authorized in second row (stands 31 thru 47 and H1 thru H4) ifa code F ACFT is taxiing.Code F ACFT can only be parked on TWY T6 and never at the apron.

1.5.2. AUXILIARY POWER UNITS (APUs)The use of 400 Hz facilities is mandatory at every stand where this service isavailable.The use of APU is forbidden in these stands in the period of 2 minutes afterblocks-on and 5 minutes before blocks-off. The use of APU is only authorized when 400 Hz facilities and the mobile powerunits are out of service or when the air-conditioning service is required and theair-conditioning equipment is not available.If an ACFT arrives with an inoperative APU, it is prohibited to keep running theport engine on apron during the stopover. Only exception: B737 models can keeprunning port engine with starboard engine off only during the disconnection ofground power supply unit.Communication to CEOPS Office (phone no: see above) is required of all ACFToperating at the APT with APU inoperative at least one hour prior to operation.ACFT operating in autonomous stands should do it at the MIM power required.

1.6. OTHER INFORMATION1.6.1. GENERAL

RWY 01 right-hand circuit.Birds.

1.6.2. WIND PHENOMENAThe orographical conditions of the APT setting and its location tend to lead to theappearance of wind shear and turbulence phenomena below 3000' under the fol-lowing meteorological circumstances, so that, if any of them holds, an unstableapproach, or even the need to miss, might be expected:- Moderate or gusting winds;- Winds in the first quadrant with thermal inversion and in the fourth quadrant

with speed equal to or greater than 10 KT;- Light surface winds in the first or fourth quadrants, but with south component

at 2000';- In the TAFOR, a forecast change in wind direction (TEMPO or BECMG) of

greater than 120^ with respect to the surface wind.- Difference greater than 50^ in the wind direction and/or significant difference

of the speeds between the two THRs.In addition, the following circumstances might also tend to lead to missedapproaches:- Effect of wind funnelling due to the presence of gullies close to both RWY

THRs, especially in approaches to RWY 19;- Impression of flying very high in approaches to RWY 19, due to the steep angle

of descent required;- Optical effect caused by the presence of RWY margins twice as wide as usual,

due to their characteristics;- Effect caused by the relative proximity between the two THRs of one much

longer RWY both at a lower altitude than the central zone.

2.1. SHORT COMMUNICATION PROCEDUREIn transfers of communications from CANARIAS sector NORTHEAST to CANARIASApproach, the initial call shall be limited to callsign to avoid congestion on thefrequency:"Approach + Aeroflot 321"

2.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURESThe following restrictions shall be only applicable to jets. Except for safety rea-sons, those ACFT must follow noise abatement procedures as follows:Visual approach procedures and/or contacting RWY 01 shall intercept the finalapproach segment at more than FTV 5.0 DME.Landing and approach procedures in visual meteorological conditions shall be per-formed with an angle equal to or higher than the ILS GP or PAPI of each RWY.

2.3. TAXI PROCEDURESIntermediate holding positions on the RWY exit TWY E3, E4, E5, E6, E7 and E8, atthe level of their intersections with TWY T, are not applicable to ACFT, onlyvehicles.

3.1. START-UP, PUSH-BACK AND TAXI PROCEDURES3.1.1. GENERAL

ACFT without RNAV1 (GNSS) approval and with destination outside of the CanaryIslands should inform TWR at engine start-up.The use of reverse thrust is forbidden to leave the stands, except otherwiseauthorized by APT authority.Starting-up of engines higher than idle at towed push-back stands is forbidden.On all stands with autonomous exit, the exit manoeuvre shall be carried out atthe minimum power required to initiate taxiing.

3.1.2. POWERBACK OPERATIONSPowerback operations require prior authorization and shall be executed under thesole responsibility of the ACFT operator.This type of operation is only allowed for:- Turboprop ACFT smaller than or equal to ATR72 dimensions; request and

authorization shall be managed on real time.- Turboprop ACFT larger than ATR72 dimensions; request in advance to

seguridad operacional [email protected].

3.1.3 EXCHANGE OF DATA WITH NMOC - ADVANCED ATC TOWERIf an ACFT has to abort taxiing for technical reasons, the APT shall send a C-DPImessage to the NMOC (cancellation message of departure flight planning infor-mation). The result of the C-DPI is that the flight plan shall be suspended byinforming the operator via an FLS message with the comment 'Suspended byDeparture APT'. The flight plan can be activated again by updating the EOBT witha DLA or CHG message.

3.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURESThe following restrictions will be only applicable to jets. Except for safety rea-sons, those ACFTs must follow noise abatement procedures as follows:- ACFT taking-off from RWY 01 must follow the nominal flight path of the SID in

use, not turning LEFT before overflying ADOVO.- ACFT taking-off from RWY 19 must follow the nominal flight path of the SID in

use, not turning RIGHT before FTV 5.0 DME.

3.3. RWY OPERATIONSTake-off of code F ACFT not allowed during low visibility conditions.Whenever possible, take-off of code F ACFT shall be performed with reducedpower.

3.4. SHORT COMMUNICATION PROCEDURETo avoid congestion on the frequency in transfers of communications of traffictaking off from FUERTEVENTURA Tower to CANARIAS Approach, the initial callshall be the name of the unit being called and the callsign:"Canarias, Aeroflot 321, from GCFV"
