We are approaching our 40th anniversary, and in order to keep our service go- ing, we need more help!! Our service was founded in 1976 by Joe and Jan McCall and Don Schoof. The original am- bulance was a van, and the three founding EMT’s covered ALL of the calls in the community. Joe McCall is still an active member today. We have been fortunate to have volunteers willing to sacrifice their time regardless of what else was going on in their lives. Most of them have full time jobs, families, and numerous other responsibili- ties, but because of a love for hu- man life and a deep desire to help others they have selflessly devoted themselves to our service. In recent years our volunteer numbers have dwindled, and we are struggling to cover our calls and provide for our community. We are extremely grateful to our taxpayers and all of the support that our community and surround- ing communities and services have given us through the years. Whether you have donated mon- ey, time, food, or just come to our fundraisers, we truly do appreciate your support. It is through this support that we were able to pur- chase a new ambulance and AED in 2015 that has given us the abili- ty to provide the best care possible. Now we are asking for your help in a different way. In order to keep providing a local ambulance service for our community we des- perately need more volunteers. There is great fulfillment in help- ing someone on their worst day, in their greatest time of need, that out weighs any amount of money you could ever receive.
