Start with the face reference you brought as homework—
1. Rip or cut it so that at least ½ the face remains— SAVE BOTH HALVES2. Paste one half in place—draw the missing half.3. Concentrate only on LINE WORK FOR NOW
Shade the missing 1/2—
1. Use careful observation to get the details accurate.
2. Use careful blending technique to render a WIDE RANGE OF VALUE
•The second drawing will use pattern to EXTEND and MORPH the face
1. You may want an different face to work from—instead of the remaining ½ face from your first
drawing.2. Start by drawing the entire face in line only.
3. Then begin looking at patterns. Use patterns to:
