The Evil Dragon
Cozy Talks
The Cave Duel (a vocabulary story) Jack J
My companion and I were walking to-gether through a dark passageway. My partner tripped clumsily on separated, glistening, fragments, which were diamonds. I became un-focused on our mission. I recognized that my companion was the man who wears the Chuck E. costume at Chuck E. Cheese’s. I left him there. He was uncon-
scious; after all, if you had to leave anyone to die, he would definitely be the one. I still felt confident in myself. I made all the way here and there is no time to turn back. My lantern burned out, I hadn’t eaten in about three days. All hope was gone…
“ROAR!” That
must have been the
loud, beckoning roar of
the dragon. Lyle the
dragon has made too
much destruction. It was
time to duel him to the
death. I whipped my
sword out of its pouch.
My father taught me
how to become a great
leader. He taught me
how to battle. This one
was for my father. I will
get my revenge on Lyle
for doing this to him.
