Now that you’ve gone through Parts 1 and 2, you’ve cleared your mind, got that Brain Breeze going on and are now implementing a system to deal with stuff so you don’t get so bad Brain Constipation in the future. That’s awesome. High five! Now we’re going to hike it up a notch in preparation for the Time, Wealth, Deen and Health Mastery days of action in the 4-Day BringIt! Challenge I didn’t want to overwhelm everybody else, but you’ve made it this far, so I want you to have this and do this and I’ll tell you why. This is the 7 Day Challenge and I’ll explain how it works. It’s actually pretty simple but the concept is so profound. It’s one of those things that looks so simple, you might be tempted not do it, but it’s indeed very profound. Let me give you this analogy of something that happened to me and we’ll relate it to the 7 Day Challenge. When I was growing up in Winnipeg, I was a brown kid playing on the streets with all these white folks around me. One day, somebody came driving into my neighbourhood and for some reason, he thought I was Muslim. So he comes driving around my house and he says “Where’s the masjid?” That’s kind of weird, I thought. But I told him, “Well you go down the street and you take a left, take another left, and then you take a right, first right all the way down and that’s where the masjid is.” This man thanked me and departed. But when he departed, I missed out one critical direction: he needed to turn around, do a u turn, and then implement my directions. I made a big mistake. I didn’t tell him the full directions and totally messed this guy up. He was starting from the wrong position. So now when you start the BringIt! Challenge, if you don’t really understand what you’re dealing with, you might take actions that will not get you your result. You need to understand what is your point A, if you want to get from point A to B. If you go to google maps, for example, and you type in your destination, it’s not going to show you how to get there until you tell it where your starting point is. Similarly, let’s say your destination is that you want to lose weight. You need to know where you’re starting from.

You might think that in order to lose weight, you just need some weight loss recipes. But in reality, it’s probably an emotional issue. Maybe you were scarred or something like that. No, you don’t need recipes. I see all these diet books and 75% of the book is diet recipes. But who is not losing weight because they don’t have enough recipes? You have to understand what are you dealing with first. So now how are you going to figure out what you’re dealing with? This is the 7 day challenge. I want you to track 3 things:

1. Track your time You want to understand where the time is slipping away. Why do we say that we don’t have time in our day? What are we doing, exactly and specifically, that’s wasting our time? You’re going to track what time you go to sleep and what time you wake up. What time do you nap? What do you do when you wake up? When do you go to work? When do you start doing actual work? How long does it take for you to do something?... so on and so forth. You want to track it in half an hour by half an hour or in blocks. But don’t generalise it too much. You want to give yourself a blueprint for 7 days and then you’re going to start to see a pattern when it comes to your time. You’ll see, for example, that it might actually take 3 hours at work for you to do something that should only take 20 minutes. You’ll figure it out. But right now you don’t know, so you’re unconscious of that. That’s why you need to track your time.

2. Track your expenses, your spending habits So what are you buying and how is the money going? Day by day what is it that you buy? I just bought a water bottle myself that was $4. Now I’d never do that again because for $4 you can get 24 bottles of water. All it takes is a little bit of preparation. If I made it a habit to buy a $4 bottle of water every day, then at the end of 10 years, I could easily have spent $40,000 on this habit that I’d never really paid attention to. Eating out is another big expense. Track down all the little snacks that you buy here and there.

Where is your money going? Do you purchase a lot online? Start tracking your spending habit for the next 7 days. That’s so you get an idea where your finances are going.

3. Track your eating habits What are you eating at what time of the day? You might start to notice that, oh for breakfast you had Captain Crunch cereal, and you ate nothing else the whole morning and now you’re wondering why you feel lazy, lethargic and lack energy. When you look back at your eating habits you realize you never ate a proper breakfast. If you start eating at 1 o’clock in the afternoon and you went to sleep at 11 o’clock, that’s over 12 hours that you haven’t eaten anything except some sugary cereal. So start tracking your eating habits -- everything that goes into your mouth. Don’t change your habits for the next 7 days. Just track it as you’re going along so that when the day on Health Mastery comes along you know what you’re dealing with and how to deal with it. At the end of this I’m sharing with you some columns to track your time, spending and eating. You can print these out, or just do it yourself -- get a piece of paper, day 1 day 2, day 3 up to 7 days and start writing it down. You might even just record things on your phone. Whatever works for you. With the Brain Dump, Brain Breeze, 6-D system and the 7 Day Challenge, you are well on your way to taking massive action in your live in sha Allah ta’ala. You have got to take advantage now when the window is open, when you’ve got the momentum and the motivation, to set yourself up to take massive action. At the 4-Day BringIt! Challenge, I’ll give you cutting edge tips from the best of what I’ve learned and from what I’ve already tried out myself, to give you mastery over your Time, Wealth, Deen and Health. I’ll tell you what actions you can take that will make the most impact in the long run and give you tips on how to avoid pitfalls along the way. When you want to take massive action like this, you don’t want to do this on your own. You want to be in a group. As human beings we work as a community, we travel in flocks, if you try to just to exercise at home by yourself, you know as well as I do that it doesn’t work. But when you have a whole support group of muslims brothers and sisters, cheering you on, sharing their success stories, congratulating you on yours, it’s a whole different story. I want you to be there as well so you can benefit from this herd of people moving
