er is God's personal and unique gift to each of us. If we

are open to this gift it will profoundly affect our lives

tering Prayer is a prayer of consent to God and is based

on a rich tradition of contemplative prayer in the Chris-

tian tradition. The workshop includes four presentations

and the practice of Centering Prayer. It is the first part

World Marriage Day

2013 World Marriage Day is held each year

on the second Sunday in February to

honor the lifelong commitment of hus-

band and wife.

World Marriage Day events provide

the visible sign of support couples need to continue to

make the daily decision to love one another. This year's

World Marriage Day will be celebrated on Sunday, Feb-

ruary 10, 2013.

Couples celebrating significant anniversaries (25, 50, 60 or

more years) of their Sacrament of Marriage will be recog-

nized and have their Sacramental vows renewed at the

10:00 am (English) and 12:30pm (español) Masses.

(Couples who register ahead of time will receive a com-

memorative certificate of their Sacramental Marriage An-

niversary and will have the opportunity to take a photo

with the Celebrant following the Mass.

“Transforming trauma: A contemplative

approach” June 1, 2013 with Dr. Jim Finley

We invite you to a retreat experience exploring a contempla-

tive approach to healing trauma and all forms of suffering.

A healing path will be marked out that passes through seven

phases in which we find our way inner peace in the midst of

our difficulties. The retreat is intended for clinicians, for

those in ministry, for those presently going through a healing

process and for all who feel drawn to explore the ways we

can learn to be from the tyranny of suffering in the midst in

finding the peace the surpasses understanding.
