LET’S TALK BUSINESS: The Dodgers continue their final

homestand of the season (2-1) and tonight begin the year’s final regular-

season series at Dodger Stadium with the first of four against the

Rockies. With 10 games to play in the regular season, Los Angeles

leads the Giants by 6.0 games in the NL West and the Dodgers’ magic

number to clinch their fourth consecutive division title is five.

Following the Colorado series, the Dodgers embark on a season-ending

trip to San Diego and San Francisco.

The Dodgers’ remaining 10 games are all against divisional

opponents (4 vs. COL, 3 vs. SD, 3 vs. SF) and the club has

gone 38-28 (.576) against the NL West.

The Dodgers are 49-28 (.636) at home, which is the second-

best mark in the National League, trailing only the Cubs (55-

23, .705). With one more victory this week, the Dodgers will

clinch back-to-back 50-win seasons at home for the first time

since 1977-78. Last year, the club was 55-26 at Dodger

Stadium and they had 51 and 54 wins in 1977 and 1978,

respectively.

TAKING A TOLES: Dodger outfielder Andrew Toles ripped a pinch-

hit RBI double last night, raising his average off the bench to .421 (8-

for-21). Despite not being called up until July 8 and appearing in just 40

games, Toles’ eight pinch hits lead the Dodgers and are tied for 17th in

the National League. Overall, the 24-year-old Georgia native is batting

.341 (30-for-88) with three homers, nine doubles, 15 RBI and 17 runs

scored in his 40 games, with Los Angeles going 26-14 in those contests.

THE COMPANY YOU KEEP: Dodger shortstop Corey Seager went

2-for-4 with a run scored last night, making him the first Dodger to score

100 since Matt Kemp in 2011 and the first Dodger rookie to score 100

since Jim Gilliam in 1953.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 1958, Seager is only the fifth

Dodger to post a 25-homer/40-double season, joining Raul

Mondesi (1997, 42 2B/30 HR), Eric Karros (1999, 40 2B/34

HR), Andre Ethier (2009, 42 2B/31 HR) and Adrián

González (2014, 41 2B/27 HR), and only the eighth MLB

rookie in the modern era (since 1900) to accomplish the feat

along with Dale Alexander (1929, 43 2B/25 HR), Hal Trosky

(1934, 45 2B/35 HR), Joe DiMaggio (1936, 44 2B/29 HR), Ted

Williams (1939, 44 2B/31 HR), Tony Oliva (1964, 43 2B/32

HR), Nomar Garciaparra (1997, 44 2B/30 HR) and Albert

Pujols (2001, 47 2B/37 HR) – Source: Stats, LLC.

Seager already holds the Los Angeles rookie record for hits

(187), runs (100) and doubles (40), currently has the highest

OBP of any LA rookie (.375) and remains in the mix for the

top marks in batting average (.317, behind Mike Piazza: .318,

1993), slugging percentage (.525, behind Piazza: .561, 1993)

and home runs (25, behind Joc Pederson: 26, 2015 and Piazza:

35, 1993). Johnny Frederick holds the rookie franchise

records for hits (206), runs (127) and doubles (52), set in 1929.

(100, T-5th), doubles (40, T-3rd), total bases (310, 5th), batting

average (.317, T-5th), multi-hit games (56, T-2nd), extra-base

WHAT A GUY: Dodger right-hander Louis Coleman visited Solano

Elementary School this morning, where he helped the students in Ms.

Garrison’s fourth-grade class box books and make banners for a first-

grade class in Denham Springs, LA, that lost all of their books last month

in the devastating floods that hit the Baton Rouge area. Coleman is from

Mississippi and attended Louisiana State University.

spend time on the DL, the most for any team in the last 30 years since at

least 1987.

Roberts is attempting to join Tommy Lasorda (1977) as the

only rookie manager to lead Los Angeles to a division title.

The Dodgers would like to wish a very happy 89th birthday to
