    MATERIALS:

    Four 6" x 6" pieces, one 4" x 8" piece and one 12" x 14"piece of white 18-count Aida

    Two 4" x 6" pieces of clear 14-count perforated plastic12 yd. fabricCraft battingPolyester fiberfillStitch Witchery

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1: Center and stitch Quilt design onto 12" x 14" piece;one Pillow, one Place Mat and one Napkin designonto one 6" x 6" piece each; and Table Runner designonto 4" x 8" piece of Aida, using one strand floss forCross-Stitch, Running Stitch (see stitch illustration) andBlanket Stitch (see stitch illustration). Center and stitchone Rug or Half-Rug design onto each piece ofperforated plastic, using four strands floss for Cross-Stitch and Continental Stitch (see stitch illustration).NOTES: Use 12" seams unless otherwise stated. From

    fabric, cut one 8" x 11" piece for back, two 2" x 8" and two2" x 11" pieces for front trim. From batting, cut one 7" x10" piece.2: For Quilt, trim stitched Aida to 8" x 11". Baste batting

    to wrong side of stitched Aida. With right sides facing,sew one 2" x 8" fabric piece to each short edge of stitchedAida. Repeat with 2" x 11" fabric pieces on each long

    edge; press trim outward, forming front. With right sidesfacing, sew front to back, leaving one side open. Turnright sides out; slip stitch opening closed and press. Usingtwo strands deep blueberry floss, tie front and backtogether at center of blue X motif (see Tying Illustration).3: For Pillow, trim stitched Aida nine squares from

    design for front. For back, trim remaining 6" x 6" piece ofAida same as front. Place front right side up on top of

    back. Using one strand floss, stitch together with RunningStitch four squares from design leaving one side open.Stuff lightly with polyester fiberfill. Stitch opening closedwith Running Stitch. Stay stitch two squares fromRunning Stitch; fray edges to stay stitching.4: For Place Mat and Napkin, trim each piece of

    stitched Aida four squares from design; fray edges toBlanket Stitches.5: For Table Runner, trim stitched Aida four squares

    from design on short edges and nine squares from designon long edges; fray short edges to Blanket Stitches. CutStitch Witchery to size of design area. Place StitchWitchery over design area on wrong side of Aida; foldlong edges of Aida back and press followingmanufacturers instructions.6: For Rug and Half-Rug, carefully cut perforated

    plastic around design according to graph and CuttingIllustration. Using four strands floss white floss, Overcastoutside edges (see stitch illustration).

    Perforated PlasticCutting Illustration

    When cutting perforatedplastic, cut on outside edgeof bar preceeding firststitch. Do not count holes.

    Tying Illustration

    Push needle through alllayers from back and outthrough the front, thenreenter from the front,going through the layersand coming up 1/8" fromthe point of entry. Allow

    2" of thread at either endof the stitch; cut. Tie intoknot and trim ends.
