Day 1 - 3: Blue Zebra Lodge, Nankoma Island
Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will meet your Malawian
Style guide after greetings you will be transferred to Blue Zebra in Nankoma Island for the first two
nights.
The Lodge offers 8 exclusive tented en suite chalets each overlooking the lake with some of crystal
clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature
and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, Kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of
volleyball as part of the board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to
view the unique colourful fish that inhabit every inch of the coastline.

Day 3 - 5: Mvuu Camp - Camping, Liwonde National Park
After breakfast, it is time to leave the Island. You will be transferred on a boat back to the
mainland. On the mainland you will meet your Malawian Style guide and we will start driving to
Liwonde National Park. Here it will be Camping at Mvuu Camp.
Mvuu Camp overlooks a broad stretch of the Shire River (pronounced Shiree), with a profusion of
hippos, crocodiles and the amazing birdlife of the Liwonde National Park. An impressive thatched
dining and lounge area is situated nearby, offering a magnificent vista of the Shire River. Dinners are
sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma. Activities at Mvuu Camp revolve
around boating trips on the Shire River and game drives (morning and afternoon/evening). If you are
curious to the hidden spots of Liwonde National Park, make a nature walk or a bike ride to discover
the surroundings and get surprised by the unknown places of this park.

Day 5 - 7: Domwe Island, Lake Malawi
After breakfast, we will start driving towards Cape Maclear to the next piece of paradise on the Lake
Malawi. Upon arrival you will drive straight to Kayak Africa reception before at 10:30 am, from there
you will either Kayak out or boat ride to Domwe Island a 45 minutes trip.
Domwe Island is the largest unpopulated island in Lake Malawi, with a circumference of 11km and a
highest point 400m above lake level. Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive. It lies
behind a small beach on the island’s west side. From solar lighting to dry compost toilets Domwe
aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, so during your stay here you will be living authentically
alongside nature.

Day 7 – 8: The Funky Cichlid Lodge - Cape Maclear
Enjoy your last morning on the Domwe Island. After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Cape
Maclear. You accommodation for the last night will be at The Funky Cichlid.
The Funky Cichlid Lodge is situated at the Cape Maclear, 500 meters from the Lake Malawi
National Park. The lodge has 13 rooms and dorms with fans and mosquito nets in all its rooms. It is
a best place to rest when you are tired with leisure activities.
The view of Lake Malawi generally holds stunning views and amazing birdlife.

Day 8: Departure Lilongwe
All the good things must come to an end and today after breakfast you will be transferred to
Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
