The SunDane Chihuly, the 73-year-

old glass sculptor and entrepreneur, is famous for countless glass installations like this one entitled “The Sun.” It’s made of 1,573

pieces of hand blown glass, stands 18 feet high, and took over 2,000 hours to

complete.

Fiori Di ComoFiori Di Como, another of Chihuly’s famous pieces, sits in the ceiling of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The impressive installation consists of 2,000

glass blown pieces that collectively weigh 40,000 pounds!

Autumn Sunset Kimono

This is one in a series of four life-sized kimonos

made of intricately woven glass by artists Markow and

Norris. The others in the series are called Winter

Twilight, Spring Dawn, and Summer Zenith. Autumn

Sunset is the largest woven glass sculpture in the world!

CascadeSergio Redegalli’s 12 ton sculpture is made of 500 pieces of

6mm clear glass. They were cut and then glued into the shape of a cascading wave.

There’s a reason Chihuly dominates this list — he is truly a master. At 43

feet tall, his Fireworks of Glass is the largest

permanent sculpture of blown glass in the world!

V&A Chandelier Originally entitled “Ice Blue and Spring Green

Chandelier,” this hanging sculpture used to

dominate the entrance of the Victoria & Alberta

Museum in London. It was recently relocated to

Scotts Square in Singapore.

Murano, Italy is known for its artisan glassblowers and thriving glassblowing industry. The Murano master Simone Cenedese made this
