EU policies Objective quantity of mobility or quality of mobility and education?

Promoting ERASMUS should reckon with the fact that many countries integrate it with other mobility initiatives and funds

Improve support for facilitating students and staff

Promote secondary school mobility

Promote good practices (portal)

Enlarge opportunities for students from partner countries and improve guidelines, joint programs

Analyse why ESC and ERASMUS-label is not used in many institutions

RECOMMENDATIONS TO IMPROVE ERASMUS:EU policy level

EU policies Erasmus too much a social image, mobility interesting for

employers but not Erasmus

Companies want longer stays

Recognition better organised in learning agreements and verified that they stick to it

Specify guidelines per type of program and type of mobility

Not shorten duration of stay, leave it to the merit of the mobility an allocate money on merit also

Improve the use of Erasmus labels and make more easy to get

National policies

What do countries want to get out of mobility for Europe and the national setting (quantity or what type of quality)?

Need to differentiate between Erasmus and other mobility? Can we brand mobility as E if it includes many other mobility funds?

Bologna experts promote mobility, not Erasmus as such

Use Erasmus as a way to improve internationalisation at home

Develop at national level additional schemes to Erasmus

Integrate SES status in distribution of grants

Stimulate secondary school pupils in area of mobility (preparatory lectures/activities)
