Business Retention & Expansion Program (BR&E)

• Must be able to provide narration of local economy before we can affect it

• Aids in business attraction

• Local cheerleaders

• Business visits and questionnaires used to:

• Open direct lines of communication

• Identify local needs and concerns

• Identify products & services that could be produced locally

• Provide assistance with expansion efforts

Rural areas experience as much as 86% of net job growth from existing businesses.
