Squash Report - 2020/2021This past year was

dominated by the pandemic and our country’s effort to manage it. Our membership remained at around the 80 mark with about 10-20 members active in representative squash and a good core of social players. The two courts are well used during peak times but there is a lot of availability outside of these hours.

Ourfinancesendedtheyear strongly with additional income coming from the tournament, sponsorships and income from the drinks fridge.

We won two interclub pennants this year out of our two teams that are competing regularly. It would be great to see more involvement by club members in representative squash.

Our squash committee has lost two members who moved to Tauranga, and we gained a junior representative in Kelsey Beet. We have a committee of 8 active members.

We ran some working bees to clean the squash walls and this made a considerable difference to the appearance of the courts. We have installed some carpets upstairs and downstairs and made some other improvements to the facilities including a trophy cabinet and a drinks fridge for use by members when the main bar is not open. More upgrades are planned as funding becomes available.

Our club champs were held and the 2020/21 champions were Grant

Wilson (mens), Anne Leakey (ladies) and Blair Ashton (C-Div) :

We had to cancel our year-end tournament but the Summer Slam was held and it was a great success and contributed nicely to the clubs funds. Congratulations to Len, James and Elley and all those who helped with the organisation.

Sadly the junior section has all but disappeared. We are still looking for a parent to drive this important aspect of the club.

Northern Region Pool Champs and Nationals

Pool Champs land mid-year, just prior to the surf season and, again, Red Beach put in the ground work to compete with pride. For some, the timing of Pool Champsconflictswithwintersports so the numbers can fluctuateintheleadup, but we saw some fantastic build-up by those involved. Unfortunately, Covid-19 forced the cancellation of the SLSNR Pool Champs. The SLSNZ Pool Champs went ahead after a venue switch to Water World, Te Rapa.

The Mangawhai Surf Camp and Survivor

The camp was challenging logistically this year as the camping ground itself was under pressure due toadifficultyear, whichmeantour camp dates were moved out by a week. Initially it was thought this was going to be an issue but, as it turned out, it worked perfectly and the feedback was positive in all respects. Look out for this coming year, we have secured a majority of the camping ground for the club. It will be a big one!

The camp concludes with Survivor, a club tradition, which has to be the best surf experience events in New Zealand. Survivor attracts over 100 Red Beach club members

in randomly selected teams competing across a variety of challenges. There is also a Mini-Survivor event for our Tadpoles and unbadged Juniors, which is equally well received.

Special thanks to Anita Savage, our overall camp coordinator, Caroline and Troy Anderson for the planning and coordination of Survivor, and Teresa Russell for coordinating Mini-Survivor.

Rookie Camp

We call the last year of Juniors the “Rookie Year”. As part of Rookie Year, the level of lifesaving theory and practical education steps up and we also run a Rookie camp. This season we held our Rookie camp at Pakiri Beach, which is our patrolling beach. The event was a great success and enjoyed by all.

A big thanks to those who helped coordinate the 2020/21 Rookie Year: Brendon Rutledge-Malyon, Justin Savage, Michelle Butler, Brenden Rolston and to all those who helped with the camp and the programme.

Special Thanks

The key to our continued success is the help we receive from our club members. The time required to plan and coordinate one of the largest Junior divisions in New Zealand requires a lot of effort and I would like to personally acknowledge our

Junior Division Committee members: Brendan Smith, Kelly O’Dea, Sidah Russell, Kirsty Rutledge-Malyon, Caroline Anderson, Morgan Tyne, Toni Macrae and Lauren Harrod.

Caroline, Toni and Morgan all completed their last year on the Junior Committee in the 2020/21 season so I would like to acknowledge their many years of work in the surf sports, education and gear management areas. We look forward to some new members joining for the coming season.

I would also like to thank Debra Cairns and Jack Gavin for their continued support throughout the season.

In addition, a big thanks to all those who have volunteered their time to the Junior Division this year, whether as a coach, manager, watersafety, official,BBQ helper, trailer tower or as a family taxi to get the juniors to their destinations.

I look forward to seeing you on the beach for what looks like a great season ahead.

Richard Rogers, ChairmanJunior Surf Committee

JuniorSurf Chairman’s ReportWhat a year! With the impact of Covid-19 affecting so many in a variety of ways, it was always going to be a challenge for our surf team to deliver a seamless season. The great news is that for our Sunday programme we managed to complete a fantastic Junior season with minimal cancellations due to the great efforts from our committee, coaches and managers.

Our Junior programme really jumped up a notch this season with record numbers (448 members) andasignificantnumberoffamilies that are new to surf and all looking to enjoy the environment and to make new connections.

Red Beach Junior Surf focuses in on two pillars of enablement: surf education and surf sports. The blend of both depends on age, and the journey is always focused onconfidenceenablementinthe water and on the beach.

In education we are proud of the attainment for our Junior members of their agelevelsurfcertificates. These were presented at our annual prize-giving and they highlight the club’s positive movement.

In Junior Surf Sport we were also lucky enough to be able to complete a majority of our competition calendar.

Northern Region Interclub Carnivals: Omaha and Ruakaka

Red Beach were again the largest competing club in the Northern Region and proudly participated at the events held at Omaha (Interclub #1) and Ruakaka (Interclub #2). The regional events focus on being able to demonstrate abilities in a race event, and tobuildconfidenceinthesurf and on the beach. Whilst results are not recorded at these events, we take pride in our attendance, which demonstrates our retention in the area of surf sports.

Northern Region Champs: Orewa

Results-wise, Red Beach took out all the trophies on offer by winning both the Northern Region Junior Competition Club of the Year, as well as the Cath and Eddie Millar Cup which recognises our team event results over the two-day competition. It takes a solid team to win both, and our competitors and their families enjoyed the celebration at the club afterwards. A great conclusion to a competitive weekend. These events can’t be successful without all the efforts of our managers, coaches, officials, watersafetyand administration team that work tirelessly behind the scenes.

This season, Northern Region trialled an event targeting our under-10 year olds to give them a taste of the action at the Northern Region Champs, and named it the Royale. The feedback from the event was positive and it was a concept focused around team events made up from all clubs on the day. A big thank you to the managers from Red Beach who were involved at that event and who helped make that a successful event for our team. Oceans 21

Our build-up to Nationals was good and we sent a large team down to the Mount to compete in our U14 event. The surf was up and the event team worked very well to schedule in racing across Main Beach and into Shark Alley, rightuptofinalsdayonthe Sunday. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, New Zealand waslockeddownonfinalsday, which meant a somewhat disappointing end to those whohadreachedfinals.Outside of that, the event went very well and team feedback was positive. We still managed to have a team dinner in the park before the close.

Congratulations to all our competitors, managers, coaches and committee. A special thanks to our Junior

ENDURO Fundraiser The Covid-19 lockdowns during 2020 severely restricted the ability to raise funds. However, the club bounced back with the Enduro Fundraiser. It involved the entire club, from 10-year-old Juniors through to Masters and took place on the water at Red Beach on Saturday 14 November 2020.

Club members were asked to collect sponsorships and to complete as many kilometres as they could by paddling, swimming, or rowing over a set course, for either two or three hours, depending on age. Participants were able to choose their discipline … ski, board, swim, run, surf canoe or surf boat. The majority were on the water from 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm. Colourful costumes were prevalent.

The funds generated – more than $11,000 – went a long way to meeting the needs of the surf lifeguard programmes as well as the Junior and Senior development programmes.

Surf Canoe ReportFor the Surf Canoe division, 2020-21 was very much a ‘stop-go’ season. Covid-19 reared its ugly head, forcing the cancellation of a number of events at which Red Beach’s four crews would have competed (see page 13).

The crews were able to compete at just three carnivals and they were …

IRB ReportRed Beach have jumped

from having just one IRB crew in the 2018-2019 season to a whopping three IRB crews participating in competitions throughout the 2020-2021 season.

These three crews consisted of the U23 Women, the Red Beach Ragdolls, with Brie Downey (driver) and Emma Hildesley (crew), and two U23 Men, with one crew being the Red Beach Raptors, made up of Jonah Cleminson (driver) and Harry Mellor (crewman). The second crew was the Red Beach Rampage, with Kees Kramer (driver) and Matt Hughes (crewman).

The teams could not compete without their valued patients … Peyton Bingley, Coby Moratti, Teresa Sell, Blake van der Net, Xavier Bradshaw, Kayla Nicholls, and Lachie Nicholls.

Thefirstcompetitionoftheseason, with crews placing, were the Northern Region Championships on 20 March 2021, hosted at Ruakaka, with overall great weather but with large amounts of red seaweed which proved to be testing for all competitors. The team’s hard work paid

off with the U23 Women (Red Beach Ragdolls) coming awaywithafirstinMassRescue, two seconds in the races Assembly and Tube Rescue, and a third in the Single Rescue. The U23 Men (Red Beach Raptors) scored afirstintheTubeRescueandtwo thirds in the races Single Rescue and Mass Rescue.

Red Beach ran up 19 club points and placed 5th overall.

The National IRB Championships were right around the corner, being the end of this short season for the crews, held on April 10 & 11 at Ruakaka. This competition saw all three teams racing in what was an overall great event, but conditions were extremely testing due to torrential downpours on Day One and extraordinary amounts of sandfliesonDayTwo.

The U23 Women (Red Beach Ragdolls) were rewarded with a well-deserved second in the Assembly Rescue, and one of the U23 Men’s crews (Red Beach Rampage) saw their hard work pay off, gaining a 4th in the Tube Rescue. The other Men’s U23 crew (Red Beach Raptors) came away with a strong fourth in their Tube Rescue semis.

The overall club points were 16, placing Red Beach 12th out of 20 clubs.

The crews had an overall solid year and are already looking forward to their next

season. It is exciting to see the growth both inside and outside of the club in the IRB community. These teams are especially thankful for their dedicated supporters and for the tireless help of team manager Jacob Groom and RedBeachofficialsSallyMellor and Michelle Newton in whom they are extremely lucky to have volunteered in order for the crews to participate in competitions.

Boaties Reunion

With the theme of Red Beach Surf Boats through the Decades, Red Beach Surf Club held a Boaties Reunion at the clubrooms on the afternoon of Sunday 22 November 2020.

On the invitation list was everyone who had either rowed or swept a Red Beach surf boat since the firstboatmadeanappearanceonthewaterinthelate1960s.

“Every effort was made to track down the rowers & sweeps from the past 50-plus years and we had a lot of success in locating them,” said former sweep Ted Taylor who came up with the idea for the reunion.

The Gabsta. Colombian born, she had never rowed previously so the firstactionwastoteachandtrainher to row a surfboat.

Whilst it is expected, it’s always very uplifting to see a crew exercise real patience and assistance to a new crew member when they need time in the boat to learn. This collaboration undoubtedly grows the overall team spirit and in no time the Valkyries had their boat travelling faster than they had in their previous season, resulting in apodium(second)finishinthefirstevent of the season.

The very welcome recruitment of new rower Thea Stout shortly after the beginning of the season took thecrewnumberstofiveandwesaw a young lady who had never rowed previously nail it almost immediately, even rowing both sides of the boat. Whilst Bugsy attempted to take the cred for her so quickly in mastering rowing technique, he conceded that Thea was one of those few naturals that could do so.

Withfiverowers, thestagewas set for a big season, starting with the Central Region Champs in Taranaki. With a 6-8ft wave forecast, the Valykries had a training camp and hunted out some big seas in preparation for Taranaki. Unfortunately, this resulted in Thea suffering an injury to her knee which would require surgery and deny her the season

rowing. It’s great to be able to report her recovery is going better than was to be expected and she willbereadywithallgunsfiringfornext season.

The season continued with the remaining four rowers and proudly the Valkyries made the podium in all events and were second overall in the NZ Surf Boat Series.

Each member of the crew brings their own individual positives into the mix, but crew captain Bethany Enright, aka Con, has truly been the stalwart leader both on and off the water. This leadership quality has been evident and has grown over the past two seasons.

Sadly, we lost The Gabsta who, at the end of the season, left us for her family back in Colombia. Hard to understand really, but we have her ready to tag in for the next World Champs in the Northern Hemisphere and won’t that be a great reunion.

Finally, a big thanks to the

Valkyries parents who always pitch in to help out, and in particular Lynn Hargreaves for all her organisation of away-event accommodation, food and Twisties.

Under 23 Men - PiratesThis season brought a few new

faces to the Pirates camp with six men keen to give rowing surf boats a decent crack. The Pirates had a slow start as

they managed a few injury niggles and work/study clashes, but eventually they settled on a core of four Pirates who soon started to make wake.

The crew comprised of Josh Young, Simon Bath, Finn Mount and Rowan Gjaltema, with our two subs Justin Vasiljevic and Brodie Campbell.

Once the Pirates got over their phobia of Speedos, and when the glare off their white thighs had dulled, they really started to come into their own; we started to see there was some real power in those thighs, not just the glare!!

It didn’t take long for the Pirates to

realise they had a lot more potential in rowing surf boats than what they thought, andthatpodiumfinisheswerevery realistic. With this knowledge and belief, they did start making podium finishes.

It was an excellent introductory season for the Pirates, picking up a few medals and a lot of good experience. We even managed to get out in a fun event at Piha in some monster surf which gave them a taste of big wave management which they will take with them in coming seasons. It is easy tosay, butIamconfidentwewouldhave seen the Pirates on the podium at Nationals, and their goal for the season achieved.

Finally a special mention must go

to another Pirate, David Young. He played a huge part in the development of this team purely by pushing them to get to trainings and also sweeping them at most of the on-water trainings. Thank you, David.

Surf Boat ReportThe 2020-2021 season was a

challenge with the uncertainties brought on by Covid lockdowns and the continual threats of lockdowns which caused disruptions to training and, of course, a number of carnivals including the NZ Championships.

The season for the boats was limited to just four carnivals. We had three surf boat crews on the water – the Rabbits backing up for a second year in the Open Women’s division, the Valkyries also backing up their second year in the U19 Women’s division, and our new Pirates crew hitting the water in the U23 Men’s division.

In true Red Beach spirit, the athletes put aside the disruptions of Covid and set their goals on training and competing, and always with an eye for the podium. In four events, our three crews totalled elevenpodiumfinisheswhichshows how well these three crews were travelling towards Nationals. In fact, at the North Island Surf Boat champs at Waihi Beach, which is used as a strong indicator of how crews will perform at Nationals, all three Red Beach crews graced the podium. Alas, the potential of podiumfinishesatNationalswasnot to be with the event cancelled due to Covid.

As always, we must extend our thanks to our Red Beach senior surfofficialMichelleNewtonwhotirelesslyofficiatesatallcarnivals.Debra Cairns is another who we try not to bother too much, given the enormous number of competitors the club has registering in carnivals, but inevitably we do lean on Deb for her help and she always comes through for us.

Another thanks and a shout out to David Young for all his efforts to successfully get our Pirates crew on the water. We were often short of a sweep to train the Pirates and David jumped in the boat and made sure these young men got time on their oars. The success of the Pirates is largely attributed to the assistance David provided all season.

Finally, a huge thanks and appreciation to our club sponsors and especially our surf boat sponsors whose brands we proudly promote on our surfboats … The Flying Herons, Argosy Property, and Bayleys Realty Group. Undoubtedly we rely on this support and we look forward to further promoting your support for our club and the surf boat group next season and for many seasons to come.

Open Women - RabbitsThe Rabbits crew comprised

Kathleen Oneroa, Olivia Soesbergen, Tobi Noble, Danielle Ford, and Zoe Turner came into the season determined to give it their all. Every competition weekend these ladies competed at, they made a podium result. This included claiming the Silver medal in the NZ Surf Boat series for the second year in a row.

As was the case with most

athletes, we were gutted to learn of the cancellation of Nationals and not being able to reach our peak, but we will just use this as fuel for next season.

Under 19 Women - ValkyriesThe Valkyries went into this

season knowing their second year of rowing surf boats would bring an expectation to improve on the previous season by using the experience they had gained. President’s ReportWith the heavy side of

Covid-19 behind us, and moving into a solid year of training by our athletes, it was sad to see the cancellation of the premier event, the NZ Championships, because of Covid. Our hearts went out to all those who committed the hours of training for what was looking to be a great Nationals for our club, based on results from the carnivals preceding the Nationals.

The second placing gained at the next biggest event, the ERCs, showed the gains the club was making by way of some incredible results that you’ll read about in other reports within this Annual Report.

Once again our question has been … is success measured purely by results? We at Red Beach believe not, as the club spirit and culture within the club is the most important focus which leads to results, and well led by our club coach Jack Gavin. With large numbers at training, we have continued to grow, so much so that our club is nearing full capacity with gear storage. We are currently looking into options to future-proof this issue as our community keeps growing. And as families continue to have their children participating in surf lifesaving, we need to accommodate this growth.

This was our twelfth season of patrolling at Pakiri Beach during the peak of the summer (Dec – Feb) in addition to normal patrols at Red Beach from November to March.

Our lifeguards completed

a total of 3,174 voluntary patrolling hours. We carried out 248 preventative actions, 3 rescues and patient assists, 31firstaidtreatmentsandonesearch.

The efforts by members, whether on the beach, upskilling, gaining additional awards or instructing, are greatly appreciated.

During the season we had 22 lifeguards qualify for the Surf Lifeguard Award, while twoqualifiedaspatrolsupportguards.

To have an active role as part of our community in providing our service, training children and young adults is providing parents with the assurance that they are in the club for great reasons. Plus, our Masters’ programme gives all ages an opportunity for well-being, good health and a sense of belonging. May this continue to grow the numbers at Red Beach Surf Club.

Special thanks to all the club members who are on the different Committees and who give their time to help make the club what it is; your fineefforts and time involved are very humbling. Please take the time to read the reports from the different divisions and, hopefully, you’ll recognise the work carried out by many of our club members.

Congratulations to the winners of the trophies that were up for contention at this year’s Prize Giving; and a special mention to Kathy Kramer who took out the President’s Cup for Best Clubman. Kathy’s commitment

as co-chairperson of the Management Committee, her various meetings with Northern Region, and continued help to Debra to oversee, organise andguidethefinancialpositionof the club, has us in good hands. Thank you, Kathy!

Thanks to all our active and

associate members, friends, volunteers and other helpers in the wider community, plus our sponsors who continue to make the Red Beach Surf Life Saving Club the very special place it is.

We have again concluded the season having achieved our mission of keeping the community safe on our beaches as we continue to patrol both Red Beach and Pakiri. From a lifesaving perspective we have many things to be proud of and it was another successful year with no drownings or serious injuries, but plenty of minor first aids and preventive actions taking place. Attendance and commitment from the patrols this season was excellent. Our regular patrol audits also met an acceptably high standard. This is testament to the members of our club being well trained and equipped to deal with any situation that presents itself.

We continue to grow as a club and introduce new candidates to the delights and challenges of lifeguarding. In the 2020/21 season we qualified 22 new lifeguards and 2 patrol support guards. This can just be the beginning of their lifeguarding journey as there are many pathways and opportunities in which to develop and grow.

This year, we have had to be more active in identifying and promoting these opportunities to our members and as a result we’ve had members complete First Aid certificates, qualify as IRB crew and drivers including VHF, and attend the Youth Development Camps, Intermediate Guard School and National Guard school.

Club Captain’s ReportThe 2020-21 season

kicked off in a familiar fashion, with encouraging registration numbers across all age groups, from Juniors through to Seniors. With a well-led group of enthusiastic members, the club has achieved a high level of success this season across both the lifesaving and sports arenas. Ultimately, a COVID affected year had an impact on the Northland Development Camp, among other things throughout the season.

The sports calendar was also cut short with the cancellation of both the NRCs and the New Zealand Championships at Ohope Beach which was disappointing for our members, given the hard work they put in throughout the season. I have no doubt that Red Beach would have backed up last year’s result and dominated the NRCs event at Ruakaka. I feel the club was also on track to make a major statement at

the Nationals following a strongfinishattheERCsevent at Mt Maunganui. Red Beachfinished2ndoveralltothe Mount club, and was the top Northern Region club by some margin.

I’d like to congratulate the following members who have been selected for the SLSNZ High Performance Squad … Akira Gardiner, Ciara O’Neill & Kate Rogers who will join Red Beach athletes Kalani Gilbertson and Patrick Makgill in the squad. This is a great achievement and testament to the hard work you have all put into your training. I would like to make a special acknowledgment to the achievements of Patrick Makill at the SLSNZ Pool Rescue Championships, winning six National gold medals, two silvers and a bronze. An amazing achievement, amongst many others.

The feel-good factor remains strong at the club with superb leadership

at Management level, supported by enthusiastic Senior and Junior committees. The club remains as one with all divisions of the club integrating well together. It’s great to see some encouraging leadership and mentoring qualities developing from the senior athletes and a strong camaraderie among all squad members.

In a season full of sporting calendar setbacks and disappointments, there were a lot of positives which we will take into next season. The Red Beach team was well-led by our coach Jack Gavin and the management teams with strong support from club members, families, friends and sponsors. I thank you for your efforts over the season and reiterate, your contributions and support are a key part of the club’s success.

We’ve also been working hard with council planners, architects and the local Iwi to hopefully realise our vision of a tower at Pakiri, which will provide much needed shelter from the harsh elements, as well as a wider view of the beach.

I wish to thank all the members of the Lifesaving Operational Team for the efforts they put in, plus the enthusiasm they have shown in improving ourproficiencyandskills.Iencourage anyone wishing to

become involved with the club to simply ask, as every little bit of support helps.

Finally, I want to thank all our lifeguards for putting on their red and yellow uniforms, as well as our less visible instructors and examiners, and the families who support us so we can keep our community safe on our beaches.

The ‘Alternative Nationals’....

Covid-19 dealt a cruel blow in March 2021 with lockdowns forcing the cancellation of the NZ Surf Life Saving Championships at Ohope Beach.

Auckland was in COVID Alert Level 3 with the rest of the country at Level 2 until at least Sunday 7 March. With the Nationals scheduled to take place from 11-14 March, a decision needed to be taken by SLSNZ on whether to proceed with the event.

The TSB Nationals could not be held due to limitations on inter-regional travel (L3) and mass gatherings of 100 or more (L2).As hard as it was to face the cancellation of this premier event, and having moved out of Level 3 in the Auckland region, the club hit on the idea to stage a Super Saturday Club Day at Red Beach on Saturday 13 March.

Club members attended the event in large numbers and, with mixed teams, took part in a Super Taplin Relay Series of six races. Athletes also had the opportunity to jump into surf boats and surf canoes for some fun racing – all five canoes were on the water – as well as the club surf boats.

The afternoon concluded with a get-together in the spacious grounds of club president Mark Scheib’s residence.

Open Women - RabbitsThe Rabbits crew comprised

ofthesamefivestrongwomenasthe season prior, competing in their second year in the Open Women’s division. Kathleen Oneroa, Olivia Soesbergen, Tobi Noble, Danielle Ford, and Zoe Turner came into the season determined to give it their all. With the ‘baby’ Rabbit (Zoe) residing and studying in Queenstown, it meant that she would join up with the crew at carnivals whenever she could.

Training in the boat together as

acrewhasbecomedifficultwiththese ladies having to balance jobs, rosters and shifts in their professional lives, but they make up for any disadvantages with their commitment and self- motivation in their personal training.

The core of the crew remained unchanged with Keeva Marinthe (stroke), Maia Young (second bow), and Bethany Enright (bow). With last season’s second stroke moving on, the Valkyries recruited Gabriela Hernandez Najera, aka

Boaties Reunion

With the theme of Red Beach Surf Boats through the Decades, Red Beach Surf Club held a Boaties Reunion at the clubrooms on the afternoon of Sunday 22 November 2020.

On the invitation list was everyone who had either rowed or swept a Red Beach surf boat since the first boat made an appearance on the water in the late 1960s.

“Every effort was made to track down the rowers & sweeps from the past 50-plus years and we had a lot of success in locating them,” said former sweep Ted Taylor who came up with the idea for the reunion.

Boaties spanning more than five decades had the opportunity to rub shoulders with one another at the event which attracted around 150 people.

The first competition of the season, with crews placing, were the Northern Region Championships on 20 March 2021, hosted at Ruakaka, with overall great weather but with large amounts of red seaweed which proved to be testing for all competitors. The team’s hard work paid

off with the U23 Women (Red Beach Ragdolls) coming away with a first in Mass Rescue, two seconds in the races Assembly and Tube Rescue, and a third in the Single Rescue. The U23 Men (Red Beach Raptors) scored a first in the Tube Rescue and two thirds in the races Single Rescue and Mass Rescue.

Red Beach ran up 19 club points and placed 5th overall.

The National IRB Championships were right around the corner, being the end of this short season for the crews, held on April 10 & 11 at Ruakaka. This competition saw all three teams racing in what was an overall great event, but conditions were extremely testing due to torrential downpours on Day One and extraordinary amounts of sandflies on Day Two.

These teams are especially thankful for their dedicated supporters and for the tireless help of team manager Jacob Groom and Red Beach officials Sally Mellor and Michelle Newton in whom they are extremely lucky to have volunteered in order for the crews to participate in competitions.

The Under-10 Royale
