    Objective

    The main objective of the report is to present the results of poles evaluation carried out in order

    to study the characteristics of a steel poles, where own weight of the poles, own weight of

    equipment and wind loads are considered in the analysis for check the stresses in all elements of

    three poles 6.00m due to Existing loads, future loads.

    This Report Describes the Results of the Site Visit and Complete Structural investigation

    Data/Assumptions [Design Criteria ]

    o Structural analysis model was carried out using STAAD PRO 2008 /Auto CAD 2015.

    o All input data and output results of the analysis as shown in Appendix l.

    o The poles is checked on:

    Poles wind forces are calculated in accordance to ANSI-TIA-222-G-2009.

    Basic wind speed is 120km/h

    Operation wind speed is 90 km/h

    Maximum allowable tilt and twist = 0.50 at 90 km/hr. for poles

    Topographic Category will be (1)

    Structure class will be (2)

    Exposure category will be (C)

    Steel Grade relevant the design code standards.

    The Structure

    o The structure was found 3 steel poles 6.00m on existing penthouse.

    o Penthouse is bearing wall structure

    Analysis

    The existing structure supporting elements are analyzed under the poles loads. The poles design load

    cases are considered in the analyses, with the possibility of extra cases to simulate different wind

    load directions in different cases 0, 45, 90, and 135, to 315 degree. The resulted bending moments

    and shear forces, to satisfy ANSI-TIA-222-G-2009 specifications, as shown in Appendix I, which

    includes all of the structural analyses and the design outputs.

    Conclusion:-

    Based on the site visit and the detailed analysis for the existing tower and steel grillage:

    The penthouse is unsafe under existing poles loads due to the following reasons: - There is separation between penthouse slab and walls.

    - Penthouse Slab thickness is smaller than 10 cm.

    - There are diagonal, horizontal and vertical cracks in the penthouse walls.
