John G. Diefenbaker High School
“Freedom, Choice, and Responsibility”
As a learning community, we promote excellence, provide opportunity, and
value diversity. We believe students have the right to access meaningful and
rigorous education that will provide them with opportunities to become
productive citizens and pursue desired futures.
The Circle of Success is a series of visible and available strategies at JGD that
are intended to proactively support the CBE mission, foster student
achievement and enhance academic success. The Circle of Success endeavors
to build responsible citizens, grow a student’s individual gifts, talents and
interests and cultivates strong moral character. Below are some of the wrap
around services and strategies available to students at John G. Diefenbaker

There are many opportunities available at John G. Diefenbaker for students to
be involved in school life beyond the classroom. At JGD, we believe that it is
important for students to have a balanced high school experience and that
getting involved and giving back to the community are critical to achieving this
balance.
John G. Diefenbaker High School offers specific awards to their students to
recognize outstanding achievements, athletics, citizenship, and leadership.
At last year’s Awards Ceremony, over 500 parents, relatives and friends
gathered to recognize the outstanding achievement of our students. As well as
awards, many scholarships are offered to students at a district and provincial
level.
