There are many opportunities available at John G. Diefenbaker for students to

be involved in school life beyond the classroom. At JGD, we believe that it is

important for students to have a balanced high school experience and that

getting involved and giving back to the community are critical to achieving this

balance.

John G. Diefenbaker High School offers specific awards to their students to

recognize outstanding achievements, athletics, citizenship, and leadership.

At last year’s Awards Ceremony, over 500 parents, relatives and friends

gathered to recognize the outstanding achievement of our students. As well as

awards, many scholarships are offered to students at a district and provincial

level.
