At a busy London hospital, after conducting extensive site surveys, we now supply filters by pre-arranged schedule, and deliver them the week before they are due to be fitted. For fast and efficient handling by hospital maintenance staff, we clearly label all filters and packaging for the individual plant rooms and AHUs where they are required.

RIGID POCKET FILTERS

“We used to spend hours sorting through a massive filter delivery. Now they come in as and when we need them, and are fitted without disruption.”

Filtrex PVC framed rigid pocket filters enclose a series of mini pleat glass fibre media packs, providing a large surface area with a much higher capacity than standard bag filters and excellent energy performance. For use in medium to fine grade applications with HEPA grade options available.

E-FLOW S BAG FILTER

A superior quality synthetic bag filter, made from a fine grade media with sealed internal spacer stitching to prevent pocket ballooning; suitable for medium to fine grade applications where a non-glass fibre element is preferred.

Filtrex bag filters cover all applications and environments, from the low grade hi-loft synthetic type through to our highly engineered glass/synthetic dual layer filter.

High Efficiency Particulate Air filters protect environments that require ultra-clean air. Filtrex HEPA filters are used for many applications: high grade industrial systems, clean rooms, hospitals, and electronic and pharmaceutical manufacturing, where contamination would be damaging and costly.

• Deep pleat, Mini pleat, V-pleat options• Metal, wood or plastic frame• Gasket, gel or knife edge seal • Ceiling hood filter option• High temperature filter option• Grades E10 – E12, H13, H14, U15 – U17

For ease of handling and installation, our plastic framed minipleat Hepa filter is a lightweight alternative to metal or wood framed options and is fully incinerable.

Housings can incorporate different filter combinations including panel, bag, rigid pocket and carbon. HEPA filters require specialist housings to ensure the standard of filtration is not compromised. We provide standard housings and safe-change types for critical applications where harmful contaminants may be present. These housings can be supplied complete with pressure loss gauges, DOP and pressure test points, shut off dampers and other accessories. Modular filter holding frames can hold both panel filters and filters with headers and are made from galvanised steel, stainless steel or aluminium.

When a large food manufacturer needed a reliable source for critical process related filter elements, we were able to supply the product they wanted on time and on budget and have been doing so ever since.

Activated carbon filters are used for the removal of molecular contaminants including odorous gases which are adsorbed into the microporous surface of the carbon granules.

Types of carbon filtration: • Bonded or granular carbon panels• Multi-cell units• E-Pack carbon rigid pocket filter• Filcarb carbon cartridge system

A refillable cartridge system using steel mesh cartridges filled with granular activated carbon, mounted on a base plate via an easy change bayonet fitting. The Filcarb system is efficient and easy to maintain, achieving high air volumes and excellent removal of molecular contaminants and odorous gases.

MOBILE FLUID FILTRATION

REVERSE OSMOSIS UNITS

The FILTREX mobile fluid filtration system is a trolley mounted filtration and pump system using bag or cartridge elements, with filtration from 1000 micron to 0.1 micron. The unit is fitted with isolation valves, a flow meter, suction and delivery hoses, and is available in aluminium or stainless steel. This system is ideal for emergency off-line filtration or routine cleaning of fluid storage vessels and cooling systems.

Our Osmopure® range of reverse osmosis units cover all applications from compact, space saving systems to high purity, high volume industrial systems. The units are manufactured using high quality components and are supplied ready to use.

Filtrex activated carbon filter systems are designed to suit many different applications.

• At food factories, the strong smells emitted during the cooking and processing of ingredients may require filtering before the air is discharged into the atmosphere to prevent odours from causing distress to the surrounding neighbours.

• Vent pipes from storage silos and effluent tanks often require filtering to remove pungent fumes and vapours.

• In public buildings such as museums and libraries, incoming air needs purifying removing gases that would have a deteriorating effect on priceless manuscripts and artefacts.

• Airports and buildings in city areas such as offices, hospitals and hotels, need effective filtering of air pollutants to ensure an enhanced Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) level for the occupants.

We offer a wide range of air handling and ventilation systems from bespoke design and installation, through to commissioning and after-sales service.

The Exeon range of extraction systems are suitable for the removal of fumes, vapours and dust and are available from small mobile units to large centralized extraction systems. Along with this, we offer a wide range of specialist units such as powder handling booths, downflow benches and the E-Clean suction hood for restoration and medical use.

Filtrex offers a complete plant maintenance service, including routine assessments and offering upgrade advice and repairs to ensure your plant is running as it should be.

There is often a case for upgrading filter types, improving frames and even replacing major plant components such as air movement equipment. We have the expertise and resource to measure performance, media types, automatic cleaning systems etc and review filter performance and make appropriate recommendations to achieve peak plant performance and make energy savings where possible.

Contaminated ductwork systems can create an ideal environment for microbiological growth, leading to the spread of bacteria. Filtrex offers cleaning and decontamination of dust and debris from within ventilation systems, and a deep clean of plant using our Filbac antibacterial cleaning solution.

Grease in kitchen extract systems poses a serious fire risk. We provide a complete cleaning and degreasing service for kitchen extract systems and carry out fire damper inspections.

In LEV systems, dust build up in the ductwork leads to a reduction in air volumes resulting in extraction levels dropping. It can also be a major fire hazard, especially in ATEX classified zones. Filtrex carries out complete LEV system cleaning to ensure your extraction systems are kept working efficiently and safely.

As part of our cleaning and hygiene service, we also provide CCTV or photographic surveys of ductwork systems and sample testing to give an accurate report of the condition of your ductwork.

We offer a comprehensive range of air testing reports, to provide vital information for those responsible for the air quality, such as IAQ tests, LEV surveys and HEPA testing.

Our reports will help you to meet legislation, source and eradicate dust and fume issues, and ensure your equipment is fully functioning to optimum efficiency. We can look closely at how we can make energy savings through intelligent filter selection.

Once a survey has been carried out by qualified engineers, we produce a report advising you as to your obligations and make recommendations to assist you in maintaining a healthy and productive workplace.

The Filtration Service Record provides all the documentationrelating to the filters used on site, the change frequency andcleaning records. This includes:

• Filter specification sheets• Unit schedule• Maintenance planner• Service report sheets• H & S documentation

Where regular maintenance and filter changing is carried out in-house, we carry out a detailed site survey to ensure the correct filters are being used. We produce a complete documentation and record system for filter changing and unit servicing.

If required, we can train your on-site maintenance staff in Compliance for Air Handling Units and Ventilation Systems. Filtrex have successfully completed awareness training courses for HTM03.01 Compliance for Air Handling Units and Ventilation Systems Part A and Part B to provide crucial knowledge for engineers with the responsibility of maintaining the plant.

For stretched maintenance teams, filter replacement is a job that can often get put off. With filters needing to be ordered, deliveries received, filters stored and then moved around site to the correct locations, filter replacement can be a time consuming and labour intensive job.

With a detailed planner, showing when units are due for filter replacement, we plan the whole change process by arranging the correct filters for the correct units, meeting them up on site with our engineers who install the new filters and take the old filters away for disposal. Filter change and unit condition reports are produced, which are sent to site to be kept with the Filtration Service Records.
