Algebra Warm up:pg.288 # 72 to 90 even

6.2 Multistep equations pg. 282 to 288

RECALL- In the last section you learned:

-Solve an inequality ( pretend it's a regular problem)- Variable by itself is the goal-Variable needs to be on the left (sometimes involve mirror image)-Dividing or Multiplying By negative number you FLIP the sign-Graphing the inequality is on a number line

-Find the number- Determine (open circle: or closed circle: )- Shade the graph in the correct direction

Try again: pg. 753 Lesson 6.1 # 1-14 Graph all of them.

Page 3: 6.2 Multistep Equations

In this section.......You will expand on that topic- Distributive Property- Mulitsteps

REMEMBER-When you are solving for a varaible, you are UNDOING

what is going on.

1. Distributive Property first2. Undo addition3. Undo subtraction4. Undo multilpication5. Undo Division

DON'T forget--ONLY to like terms

What does UNDO mean?

6. Varaible on left (do not forget to FLIP the sign IF you multiplied or divided by a NEGATIVE number7. Graph if asked to.

Let's Look at some examples---pg. 284

Page 5: 6.2 Multistep Equations

Now try some mutistep equations......

How do you check to see if you are correct?
