Educational Symposium_Educational symposium focuses on how pharmacy education may be remodeled in order to meet the current trends and challenges in the eld of pharmacy. It deals with ideas such as updating the syllabus with recent advancements in the branch of pharmacy. It will offer a common platform for interaction with the eminent academicians, research persons, and industry leaders. It will provide an open forum for the participants to enrich their knowledge in the eld of pharmaceutical education. Experts from pharmacy and allied specialties will share their views regarding the strategies to be employed for raising the paradigm of pharmaceutical education for the betterment of its domains. As there are many elds in pharmacy, it is important to have professionals who deal with those specialized subjects. It is also vital to stress more on practical education along with theoretical knowledge in order to meet the evolving modications in the pharmaceutical arena. There is special need to address the academia-employability convergence by bridging the skill gap. If all the gaps in education are bridged, then only can modern pharmacists be produced. So, the 61st IPSF World Congress-Educational Symposium featuring inspiring speakers taking 8 lecture sessions on different topics that will focus on the theme, along with poster presentation both for public viewing and a round for the best poster will be the an exciting event during the world congress and also give you an opportunity to be ‘the change’ for a better and brighter future of pharmacy education . All you need to do isconnect catalyze innovate.

Page 13: 61st IPSF-WC Pre-Congress Newsletter one

PAGE .1261 IPSF WORLD CONGRESS 2015 - HYDERABAD, INDIAST

Scientific Symposium_The scientic symposium will feature eminent speakers from various reputed industries who will be taking 8 sessions on different topics that focus on the theme. There will also be poster presentations during the day for both public viewing and a round for the best poster. The topics chosen will be focusing on new and emerging innovative techniques in the eld of pharmaceutical industry. It is a platform offering opportunities for both speakers to share and inspire, participants to learn and thereby connect catalyze innovate to create an ecosystem of opportunities and resources. Pharmaceuticals have a prominent role in the health care of the community. The health of people depends on the availability of safe, effective and affordable medicines. In the future, pharmaceutical manufacturing will need to employ innovation, cutting edge scientic and engineering knowledge, and the best principles of quality management to respond to the challenges of new discoveries (e.g., complex drug delivery systems ,nanotechnology) and ways of doing business such as individualized therapies or genetically tailored treatments. Regulation of the future will also need to meet these challenges, by incorporating new scientic information into regulatory standards and policies. It is important to enhance and modernize the regulation of pharmaceutical manufacturing and product quality which will be helpful in improving patient safety in today’s complex health system. So, the 61st IPSF World Congress-Scientic Symposium will surely be a culminating point of unconventional industrial innovation to deploy into the future and revolutionize the prospects of Manufacturing and Delivery of Pharmaceutical Products.

Visit to a Pharma Industry is a must visit when you come to India. We have the INDUSTRIAL VISIT on day 6 where we would take the registered participants on a eld trip to the most reputed industries in the city. It is well known throughout India for its prized collections belonging to different civilizations dating back as one of the largest association to the 1st century. Nawab Mir Yusuf Ali Khan Salar jung III (1889-1949), former Prime minister of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, spent a substantial amount of his income over thirty ve years to make this priceless collection, his life’s passion

Golconda, also known as Golkonda or Golla konda (’shepherd hill’), a fort of Southern India and capital of medieval Golconda Sultane. The city and fortress are built on a granite hill that is 1200 meters (400ft.) hight and is surronded by massive crenelated ramparts. It remained the capital of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty until 1590 when the captial was shifted to Hyderabad. The Golkonda Fort used to have a vault where once the famous Kohinoor and Hope diamonds were stored along with other diamonds. Golkonda consists of four distinct forts with a 10km long outer wall with 87 semicircular basitons (some still mounted with cannons), eight gateways and four drawbridges, with a number of royal apartments &

temples, mosques, magazines, stables etc. inside. The lowest of these is the outermost enclosure into which we enter by the ‘Fateh Darwaza’ (Victory gate, so called after Aurangzeb’s triumphant army marched in through this gate). A hand clap at a certain point below the dome at the entrance reverberates and can be heard clearly at the ‘Bala Hisar’ pavilion, the highest point almost a kilometer away. This worked as a warning note to the royals in case of attack. The fort of Golkonda is known for its magical acoustic system. The highest point of the fort is the “Bala Hissar”, which is located a kilometer away. The palaces, factories, water supply system and the famous “Rahban” cannon, within the fort are some of the major attractions. It is believed that there is a secret underground tunnel that leads from the “Durbar hall” and ends in one of the palaces at the foot hill. It is also believed that there was a secret tunnel to Charminar.

The Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolith located in India. It is the tallest monolith of Gautama Buddha. The musical fountain plus Laser show offer pleasant entertainment to the visitors. The park also had an amusement games center. Two mechanized boats Bhagirathi and Baghmati offer return trips to the Buddha Statue. In the evening hours, the bright lights illuminating the statue attract a lot of pests, which try hard to stay away from the humans, but with little success. Lumbini Park is a good place to go boating once in a while and catch a glimpse of India's largest Buddha statue. It's hard these days to nd anyone looking so peaceful.

Indira Park is good entertainment park for common people, school children, families and foreign visitors as the landscaping of Indira Park was very uniquely designed without disturbing the natural elements existing in Park such as wild date palms, keuvda plantation and Sandal wood trees and fruit plants like mango, kalajamun etc. The Park is with huge lawn areas, tree and shrubs plantation and with water bodies (pond & channel). Computerized Musical dancing fountain and water falls were also added as additional attractions. Also Boating pond with jet fountain is existing.
