MODEL 600 CO2 Semi-Automatic Pellgun Pistol Operating Instructions IMPORTANT: Read all instructions carefully before operat-ing your gun. It is not advisable to fire gun when not under gas pressure as it is harmful to valve system. The Model 600 is a 10-shot semi-automatic repeating Pellgun Pistol. It will automatically reload and recock itself for its next firing each time the trigger is pulled, and should always be treated as a loaded gun. The magazine has a capacity of 10 Pells. For best operating results, this gun should be used at temperatures between 30 Deg. F. and 85 Deg. F. Should gun exhaust CO2 at low temperatures, normal performance can be obtained by gradually warming for a short period. CAUTION: Do not expose gun or Powerlets to excessive heat. Always Follow These Simple Safety Rules: 1. Treat every gun as if it is a loaded gun. 2. Always keep muzzle of gun pointed in a safe direction. 3. Don't point at anything you don't intend to shoot. 4. Check safety before loading. 5. Be sure of your target and your backstop. 6. Conduct yourself as a true sportsman in using your gun.

NOTICE: THE VALVE IN THIS GUN IS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH THE CROSMAN GOLDEN POWERLET ONLY. OTHER TYPE CO2 CYLINDERS WILL NOT FUNCTION IN THIS GUN.

TO CHARGE PISTOL WITH CO2: Put pistol on SAFE by moving safety lever up. Cock pistol manually by moving slide to rear, until sear catches hammer, then return slide to forward position. Slide must be in forward position when charging and firing pistol. Check barrel with provided ramrod to make certain there is no Pell in barrel. Remove rod from barrel. Retract Pell Follower in Pell Magazine to rear of pistol and lock in locking slot. Remove Pells from magazine through Pell Loading Opening. Make sure all Pells are removed from magazine and Feed Arm when gun is cocked. Pell in Feed Arm can be seen through “Pell Indicating Aperture.” If Feed Arm is in down or firing position, insert 3/16” ramrod in muzzle end of barrel and lightly push Pell into Feed Arm. Recock pistol with slide and push Pell out of Feed Arm into magazine through Pell Indicating Aperture. Remove Pell from magazine. If Feed Arm is in out or cocked position, remove Pell from Barrel with 3/16” dia. ramrod. Push Pellet out into Feed Arm Slot, turn pistol over to drop Pellet out. Exhaust remaining gas in gun by firing until empty. Cock manually with cocking slide if necessary. Release Safety by lowering Safety Lever, fire pistol to exhaust residual gas. Manual re-cocking of pistol may be required to exhaust all the gas. Always return cocking slide to forward position.

Page 5: 600 Owner's Manual

Unscrew and remove Knurled Tube Cap Piercing Assembly. (If unable to turn by hand, DO NOT attempt to remove with pliers or other tools, as this denotes the gun is under pressure. Exhaust residual gas as outlined above.) Hold muzzle end down and used Powerlet will drop out. Put gun on Safe by moving lever up. Cock Pistol manually, and return cocking slide to Front Position. INSERT POWERLET IN TUBE WITH NECK TOWARD OPEN END OF TUBE, replace tube cap piercing assembly and screw firmly in place as far down as it will go. Do not strike, but push “piercing button” in front of the Tube Cap Piercing Assembly firmly against a solid surface (table, floor, etc.) so that the button moves toward rear of gun (about ¼”) and stops. This action completes piercing of the CO2 Powerlet. (To keep the Tube Cap Piercing Assembly in good working order, use two drops of Crosman special silicone formula Pellgunoil on piercing pin at the retaining nut; also two drops on the visible rubber “seal” every 250 shots. Other oils will create damage to the seals and result in CO2 leaks.) Release Safety, pull trigger to determine that Powerlet is properly pierced and gun recocks, when trigger is pulled. Pistol is now ready for loading. IMPORTANT: Proper oiling of this gun will eliminate most sealing failures. USE SPARINGLY. Excessive oiling is harmful to gun action. Three or four drops is sufficient for each seal or oiling point. Apply every 250 shots or when parts appear dry. Be sure “O” Ring on knurled tube cap is clean and free of foreign matter. Never use penetrating detergent, or regular gun type oils, as they may be harmful to valve washers and seals.

USE CROSMAN PELL-GUNOIL® FOR BEST RESULTS.

TO LOAD PISTOL: Put pistol on Safe, push Pell Follower to rear of pistol and lock in locking slot. Insert Crosman Super Pells in loading opening with round nose towards muzzle end of the gun. (Magazine holds 10 Pells.) Pells other than Crosman Super Pells may cause Feed Arm to jam. Therefore, use only Crosman .22 cal. Super Pells. Release Pell Follower in magazine by moving pin out of offset slot. DO NOT let follower slam forward as it will deform Pells and cause a feeding malfunction. TO SHOOT PISTOL: Make sure pistol is cocked by moving cocking slide to rear of gun. Return slide to Front Position, before firing gun. Lower Safety Lever to firing position. Take aim, squeeze trigger to shoot. The gun will recock and reload automatically and is ready for next shot. The gun will shoot each time the trigger is pulled and as long as there is enough CO2 gas in the valve mechanism. CAUTION: If shooting is stopped before magazine is empty, put gun on Safe by pushing safety lever up, to prevent accidental firing of gun if trigger is touched. TO UNLOAD PELLET FROM BARREL AND PISTOL: Put gun on Safe. Empty Pells from magazine and Feed Arm. (See instructions “To Charge Pistol with CO2.”)

Page 7: 600 Owner's Manual

TO ADJUST REAR SIGHT: Windage: Turning adjustment screw clockwise moves target group to left. Turning adjustment counterclockwise, moves group to right. At 25 Ft. each click will move group 7/32”. Each complete turn will move group 7/8”. Elevation: Turning adjustment screw clockwise lowers group. At 25 Ft. each click will move group 3/16”. Each complete turn will move group 1 5/8”. Turning adjustment counterclockwise, raises the group. CARE OF PISTOL: Lubricate as directed above. Use only Crosman Super Pells for accuracy, long barrel life and trouble-free operation of your Model 600. The design and materials used in other brands can cause feeding failure and plugged barrels. DO NOT expose charged gun or Powerlets to excessive heat or cold. It is not necessary to clean the barrel of this pistol but an occasional light oiling is recommended to prevent rusting. USE SPECIAL CROSMAN PELLGUNOIL® FOR BEST RESULTS. Replacement Powerlets in a convenient pocket size pack, Crosman Super Pells, and Crosman Targets can be obtained at Sporting Goods Dealers everywhere. REPAIR SERVICE: Postal Regulations prohibit the mailing of pistols by an individual. Refer to the attached list of Crosman Authorized Service Stations for service, or see your dealer where purchased for acceptable methods by which this type of pistol may be shipped to a warranty station.
