Student Responsibilities and Homework

• Home/School Communication Friday Folders• Missing or Late Work List

• Reading! (125 min. a week minimum)• Typically about 30-40 min. a night reading-

depending on Contract

• Math Homework and remembering tied to the lesson of the day (Monday-Thursdays)

• Nightly practice of basic facts for mastery

Parent Responsibilities

• Support your child’s learning by…• Check the communication folder/planner daily.

• Provide a time and a place for homework. The more consistent you are the more successful your child will be.

• Read and respond to classroom communications in a timely manner. Contact teacher with questions before they become issues.

• Did you know that if you provided an email address to the school that the district expects you are checking it often and they do not send you paper copies of most communications? Be sure to give a current email address and be prepared to check it often.

• Attend school events and connect with our community!
