Dear Colleagues,
May 2017 marked a significant event for this country which almost went un-noticed.
The Uluru Statement from the Heart represented a united voice of Indigenous Australia from the 250 delegates from diverse Aboriginal Nations and the Torres Strait Islands.
This Statement also recognised that empowerment and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders remains the true catalyst for change.
“When we have power over our destiny our children will flourish. They will walk in two worlds and their culture will be a gift to their country.” (The Uluru Statement from the Heart - extract)
There is also no greater equaliser than the opportunity to participate in a thriving economy through enterprise, employment and partnerships.
We are privileged to provide a platform for you to hear about insightful, innovative and meaningful initiatives that elevate economic development for an inclusive Australia.
I look forward to hosting you at the National Indigenous Economic Development Forum in Darwin.
Regards,
Jason TimorTwo Point CoDirector
