    However, determining whether produce is a fruit or vegetable can be a little tricky at times.Lets learn about the difference between fruits and vegetables by reading the information below.

    Basically, almost everything that contains seed(s) inside is botanically a fruit! Fruit is the sweet, ripenedovary or ovaries of a seed-bearing/flowering plant. The function of the fruit is to protect the seeds andplay a part in their distribution. Animals eat the fruit and then later distribute the seeds withaccompanying fertilizer.

    Vegetables are the edible product of herbaceous plants and are grouped according to the edible part ofeach plant: leaves (lettuce), stem (celery), roots (carrot), tubers (potato), bulbs (onion), and flowers
