increasing need to be sheltered as a family In the homeless population, there is 1

single woman for every 7 single men 70% of homeless population is in metro,

primarily sheltered in Minneapolis and St. Paul

800 shelter beds for men and women close each morning at 7am in Mpls, no matter the weather, and re-open in the evening

Role Partner with law enforcement, faith communities, businesses, the courts,

Street Outreach staff this quarter: Housed 27 individuals, most who were

long-term homeless or on the streets for at least one full year.

Diverted 188 calls from Mpls Police Dept (MPD) or from businesses or citizens that would otherwise go to the MPD

Saved the City of Mpls $84,036 comparing the cost difference of a Police Officer to a Street Outreach Worker.
