My personal motto is: "If your students are to burn,

become a lighter”

• I'm an ordinary person and have nothing special in my life. In 1982 I graduated from Gorlovka Teachers Training Institute of Foreign Languages, English and German Department. I've been teaching foreign languages for 30 years. So I dare say I know some of the joys and sorrows of this profession. I've always had a feeling that this profession is the most helpful one.

• Teaching has become an integral part of my life, but everybody knows that school life isn't all roses. There are a lot of difficulties to overcome, especially the ones connected with senior pupils. I love children, my work and try to do the job well, to improve my own knowledge of English, to encourage my pupils and help them in learning English.

• In my professional career I try to develop some features which I consider being useful for a teacher. To my mind a teacher must know how to motivate pupils and how to turn the classroom into a rich learning environment, a teacher must be flexible, it is necessary for him to use a variety of up-to-date materials, topics and methods. I try to be patient. I try to give my pupils equal, fair attitude. My personal motto is: "If your students are to burn, become a lighter”.

• Really, teaching is a special calling. It is not a job well-suited to everyone. May the poem below be my devotion to those, who believe: "It is through teaching that humanity survives”.
