52ND ANNUAL53RD ANNUAL
53rd Minnesota
Prayer Breakfast
On behalf of the Minnesota Prayer Breakfast committee, a group of dedicated volunteers, thank you for being a part of today’s breakfast.
The Minnesota Prayer Breakfast is patterned after the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. and other prayer events held
annually in states and nations around the world.
We trust each of you will come away from this morning’s gathering with a renewed sense of community, unity, hope and the certain knowledge that Minnesota will benefit from your
prayers today and all the days to come.
But most of all, it is our deepest prayer that we have conveyed the love of Jesus. People are not perfect, but mercifully, our loving God is. We take comfort in that as we do our best to follow the teachings of Christ.
Thank you for your support of the Minnesota Prayer Breakfast. We love you.

Unity Through Love2013 Minnesota Prayer Breakfast
It is our prayer that everyone who is a part of today’s breakfast, whether gathering at the Minneapolis Hilton or joining us
via the Internet in another place in Minnesota, will experience God’s love . Love brings us together this morning in unity and in prayer, and we hope to encourage
one another to share the love we’ve received with others .
Scripture teaches us that when Jesus was asked which commandment is the greatest of all, Jesus replied, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind .’
This is the first and greatest commandment . And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself .’ All the Law and the Prophets hang
on these two commandments .” Matthew 22 : 36-40 .
Thank you for joining together this morning to pray for Minnesota . We love our state and we know that as we grow in love for one
another, we continue to make this special place even better .
If you have a prayer request, prayer cards are available at each place setting . Please feel free to note your request and leave the card at the center of your table
at the conclusion of the breakfast . Prayer volunteers will also be available at the front of the room after the event should you wish individual prayer .
AcknowledgmentsThank you to Matt Maher for his musical performance this morning . Matt is a recording artist, songwriter and worship leader . Currently
living in Nashville, Matt has garnered two GRAMMY nominations and continues to inspire . Lord, I Need You will be available April 23
on his new album “All The People Said Amen” . Hold Us Together can be found at WWW .MATTMAHERMUSIC .COM .
www .twitter .com/mattmahermusic .
Thank you to the wonderful couple who provided our centerpieces today . They are a personal gift from them to all of us . We ask that
you encourage one person at each table to take the lovely tulips home at the conclusion of the breakfast . Boxes designed just for this purpose
will be available outside the doorway of the ballroom as you exit .
Thank you to Leah Sands and Paul Hjellming, seniors at Bethel University, who poured their artistic talent and countless hours into the lasting, loving, visual image entitled Minnesota .

message on love, in a way that mere spoken words cannot .
