Il Design Tethis nasce dalla collaborazione dell’azienda con

giovani e qualificati designer illuminotecnici.

Si parte da concepts estetico-funzionali discussi e mediati

per sviluppare in modo contemporaneo e coerente i

molteplici aspetti che concorrono a definire prodotti

illuminotecnici unici, innovativi e sostenibili. Forma e

Funzione coesistono senza sopraffarsi in un rapporto

dialettico regolato dai principi del miglior design industriale

italiano. Le tecnologie, i materiali e le logiche di aggregazione

impiegate perseguono al contempo la soddisfazione del

cliente, esplorando nuove potenzialità dell’oggetto

Design at Tethis arises from our working with qualified young

lighting designers.

It is based on aesthetic-functional concepts that are debated

and inspired together, coherently developing the many

aspects that define our unique, innovative, sustainable

lighting engineering products. Form and Function coexist

without domination, in a relationship guided by the design

principles applied in the best Italian industrial design studios.

The technology, materials, and bonding logic employed seek

both customer satisfaction in exploring new potential for

lighting elements, and respect for the environment.

The craftsman-like manufacturing has its roots in the avant-

garde production area of small companies in North East Italy,

Tutti gli impianti e gli strumenti tecnologici che popolano

l’ambiente professionale e domestico si sono evoluti

velocemente negli ultimi decenni, sviluppando utili

Over the past few decades, technical systems and equipment

residential sectors. They have developed their immense

Out of this assumption, based on our deep conviction that

there is a correct light for each and every activity, and after

careful observation of the characteristics of professional

lighting systems, come the innovative, cutting-edge Tethis

products with biodynamic light.

Natural light can vary in tone and intensity creating a wide

variety of contexts, from sunrise to sunset. In this same

manner, when combined with special piloted electronic

Tutti i prodotti illuminotecnici Tethis sono eco-compatibili.

Le fonti fluorescenti lineari T5 - alimentate da ballast

elettronici dimmerabili - sono all’avanguardia per risparmio

energetico e durata: un tubo fluorescente lineare può arrivare

a produrre fino a 100 lm per 1 Watt impiegato, contro i 70

ottenuti in media dalle lampade fluorescenti compatte con

attacco E27. 24.000 ore di esercizio effettivo sono la durata

media nominale delle fonti fluorescenti lineari, solo 15.000

quella delle fluorescenti compatte. L’elevato grado di

standardizzazione ha ridotto fino ad 1/10 il contenuto di

mercurio dei tubi negli ultimi 20 anni e ha permesso di

mettere a punto efficienti sistemi di raccolta e riciclo dei

materiali.

L’impiego di alimentatori con tecnologia D.A.L.I. permette di

controllare l’intensità delle fonti adeguando in modo

proporzionale i consumi. Si evitano quindi gli sprechi degli

apparecchi tradizionali a due stati (acceso/spento).

All Tethis light products are eco-friendly.

The linear T5 fluorescent sources powered by dimmerable

electronic ballast are on the cutting-edge of energy savings

and lifetime: a linear fluorescent tube can produce up to 100

lm per 1 Watt used, compared to 70 obtained on average by

compact fluorescent bulbs with E27 connection. The average

nominal life of linear fluorescent sources is 24,000 working

hours compared to only 15,000 for compact fluorescents. The

high degree of standardization has reduced the content of

mercury in tubes to one-tenth the amount over the last 20

years and has allowed an efficient material recycling cycle to

be developed.

The use of D.A.L.I. power sources allows the intensity of the

sources to be controlled proportionally to consumption. This

avoids the waste due to traditional two-state fixtures (on/off).

SoleCielo è un apparecchio dal design lineare ed essenziale

che può essere montato a parete o a plafone.

Due leggeri diffusori curvilinei e concentrici, sostenuti da un

rigoroso telaio geometrico, diffondono i flussi prodotti da

due fonti luminose fluorescenti lineari T5 generando una

doppia emissione con compiti specifici. Una lampada (Cielo),

proiettando sul maggiore dei diffusori, produce

un’emissione diffusa e crea un contesto illuminato. L’altra

(Sole) ha un’emissione più concentrata e d’accento, con

l’obiettivo di illuminare il piano di lavoro.

L’ampia scelta di fonti luminose da combinare e di

interfacce-utente permette di personalizzare l’apparecchio

adattandolo ad esigenze specifiche. La versione GS con

tecnologia biodinamica è un apparecchio tecnico ideale per

uffici e ambienti professionali in genere, la versione

dimmerabile con lampada superiore colorata può essere

intonata ai colori dell’arredo mostrando un’anima più

decorativa.

SoleCielo is a light fixture with basic, essential design that

can be installed on walls or ceilings.

Two light, concentric, curved diffusers are supported by a

strong, geometric frame spreading the light flows from its

two T5 linear fluorescent light sources, generating a double

emission with specific behavior. One lamp (Cielo) projects on

the larger diffuser and produces a diffuse emission, creating

general lighting. The other (Sole) has a more concentrated,

accent emission with the objective of lighting work surfaces.

The fixture can be personalized and adapted to users'

specific needs thanks to the wide selection of lighting sources

that can be combined and interfaced. The GS version, with

biodynamic technology, is ideal for offices and professional

environments in general. The dimmerable version with an

upper colored light can be coordinated with the interior

S i m p l y

Simply, come dice il nome, è una sospensione ad emissione

diretta semplice ed immediata, caratterizzata da un

interessante rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Può essere equipaggiato con diffusore satinato a filo, nella

versione decorativa, o con riflettore lamellare dark-light che

evita l’abbagliamento nei grandi spazi senza ridurne

l’efficienza nella versione a carattere più marcatamente

tecnico. Per entrambe le versioni è disponibile la variante con

emissione luminosa diretta/indiretta grazie a due feritoie sul

dorso della scocca.

La forma di questo apparecchio, volutamente neutra e

mimetica, e la vasta gamma di finiture lo rendono adatto ai più

svariati contesti architettonici, dal classico al più moderno.

Simply, as its name says, is a hanging light with simple,

immediate, direct emission, featuring an attractive

quality/price ratio.

It can be equipped with flush satin diffusers, in its more

decorative version, or in its more technical version with dark-

light blade reflectors to avoid blinding in large spaces without

reducing the efficiency. Both models are available with

direct/indirect light emission thanks to the two slots on the

back of the housing.

The neutral, camouflaged shape of this light fixture and the

extensive number of finishes available, make it suitable for a

wide range of architectural solutions, from classic to modern.

emissione morbidamente diffusa. L’innovativo sistema di

Tutti i componenti sono realizzati con tecnologie

tipicamente industriali per ottimizzare il rapporto
