The Timberline 5/8 Sphere Complete Dome Kits Include

TThese kits arrive at your building site ready for immediate assembly. Complete kits include everythingyou need to construct the dome shell — without anycutting, drilling or measuring.

All the pieces are precision cut and drilled, and color-coded for easy identification and assembly. All parts are packed neatly in cartons or stacked on pallets in alogical order, so you can start construction right away.Our Illustrated Assembly Manual guides you step by step through the simple construction process.

Once the foundation is ready, two people can erect ourlargest dome frame (including all struts, connectors,studs and t-blocking) in just 24 hours. The plywood skin can be nailed on in just 16 hours. Construction can go even faster with more people. Since no previousconstruction experience is necessary, the shell-raising can be an ideal project for family and friends.

We don’t skimp on materials. We use 2” x 6” struts and studs which are all cut from hand-picked, kiln-dried Select Structural Grade Hem-Fir or Douglas Fir,not #2 like other companies. The plywood panels arecut from 1/2” 5-Ply Structural #1 Plywood. We inspectevery piece individually before we ship our kits, so youget only the finest quality dome components that fittogether perfectly — the first time. We guarantee it.

Floor PlansEach set of floor plans includes up to 16 pages of com-plete details about these unique architectural interiorsprofessionally designed specifically for TimberlineDomes. All plans are designed by licensed architectsand engineers employing state-of-the-art computer-aided drafting (CAD). These plans are included freewith the purchase of a Complete Dome Kit or StrutFraming Kit, but you can purchase them in advance toobtain appraisals by financial institutions, to apply forbuilding permits, and to get estimates from buildingcontractors. If your local building department requiresplans signed by an architect, we can supply officiallysigned plans.

Purchase price of floor plans is fully refundable with thepurchase of a Complete Dome Kit or a Strut Framing Kit.

TTimberline skylights are designed specifically toaccommodate the geometry of every single triangularpanel in any of our residential domes. You can placeskylights virtually anywhere throughout a TimberlineDome. Installation is fast and simple with our easy-to-follow plans.

Top Quality Design and Construction

ENERGY EFFICIENT. Each skylight is double glazed (two bubbles, one on top of the other, sealed in a two-part aluminum frame) for the best energy efficiency.This extra layer of insulation makes your TimberlineDome easier to warm, easier to keep cool.

RUGGED, INTELLIGENT CONSTRUCTION. The heavy-duty aluminum frames are heliarc welded at the corners for long lasting strength and durability.Built-in condensation gutters collect moisture and let it evaporate. The finest quality acrylic components provide excellent all-climate weatherability.

ATTRACTIVE. Our skylights look good from the outside as well as from the inside. The frames are available in a standard brushed aluminum mill finish or an optional bronze anodized finish. You can chooseclear skylights, white translucent acrylic, or solarbronze tint at no extra charge.

FIXED OR OPERABLE. Operable skylights can behinged on any side. Hand operated or detachable polecranks are included with operable skylights. Electricmotors are available for an additional $300.

CONDENSATION REDUCTION PACKAGE. This option combines insulation inside the skylightframe with a unique plastic sub-frame. This combi-nation reduces the “sweating” of the frame which canhappen in cold climates. In climates with snow pleaseorder our thermal barrier skylights.

SKYLIGHT FRAMING KITS. Our pre-cut skylightframing kits guarantee a perfect fit for your Timberlineskylights. Kits include 2 x 10 curbs with 2 x 6 plywoodnailers attached.

These skylights provide a true thermalbarrier in the aluminum frame to limit heat loss fromthe inside of the dome and cold transfer from the out-side of the skylight. This helps to limit the condensationthat can form on the skylight frame. The vinyl sub-frameprovides additional protection against condensation onthe interior skylight frame. This combination providesthe best protection against condensation available on an aluminum skylight.

TThis diagram will help you determine the size andplacement of your skylights. Every Timberline Dome has three different size triangular openings, which arenumbered respectively.

To give you the greatest choice of size and price of skylights, Timberline has developed three ways to frametriangular skylights (see the windows and skylights section of our main catalog). Depending on the size ofyour dome and the framing style(s) you choose, use thediagram and chart to determine the appropriate number, sizes and placement of your skylights.

� If your dome is 24' in diameter, you may useSeries 180 skylights and hexagon or pentagon

skylights.

� If your dome is 30' in diameter, you may use Series180 or 240 skylights and hexagon or pentagon skylights.

� If your dome is 35', 40', or 45' in diameter, you may use any of the skylights and hexagon or pentagon skylights.

Limited WarrantyTimberline warrants that all products sold hereunder shall be freeof manufacturing defects when shipped. This warranty shall applyfor a period of five (5) years from the date of shipment, and thereafter shall be of no further force or effect. Upon Purchaser’scompliance with the warranty claims provision here-of, andTimberline’s confirmation of the existence of a manufacturingdefect, Timberline shall, at its election (1) repair the product, (2) replace the product with an equal or higher grade product, or (3) refund the product purchase price. This limited warrantyconstitutes the sole warranty and obligation of Timberline withrespect to the products sold hereunder. No other warranty orobligation, either express or implied, shall be applicable, includ-ing, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability or fitnessfor a particular purpose.

Terms and ConditionsA deposit of 50% of the purchase price is due when the order isplaced. The full balance outstanding is due thirty days after thedeposit, or fourteen days prior to shipment, whichever is first.Purchaser is responsible to make arrangements to accept deliveryof all products within three (3) months of the date of the order. If Purchaser fails to do so, Timberline may a) adjust the prices setforth herein to reflect its then current pricing schedule and mayrequire Purchaser to pay any additional balance due prior to shipment, and/or b) charge a monthly storage fee of not less than$100 per month. Shipping RatesTimberline uses common carriers to ship the dome to your building site. Depending on what you purchase, we use one of two shipping methods.

For Strut Framing Kit or Complete Kit customers we will typicallycontract with a company for a complete truck. The flat rate is bythe mile, not weight, thereby allowing you to ship as much productas possible without additional shipping cost. In addition, the kit is loaded at our factory and stays on the same truck all the way to your building site. This reduces additional handling and thechance for damage. The rate for this can typically range from$1.05 to $1.55 per mile.

If you order a Connector Value Package or additional skylights, we would use a LTL (Less than Truck Load) carrier. Here the rateis determined by the weight as well as the distance to the job site.
